ALPAS - Battle Pack (Ram)
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Some may have known already, but the ALPAS series of suits have some enhancement features that can be applied via Extended Operation Packs that dispense customized and specialized living latex for specific tasks. With this piece, I present you the Battle Pack!
The Battle Pack is, as any of the other EOPs, a reservoir of living latex programmed with a specific purpose, and as you can imagine, the Battle Pack is made for combat enhancements. The "combat latex" is denser and more energized than the standard variant used in the base suits.
At its core it will extend itself and reinforce vital areas in the body for protection, while also extending towards the limbs. This allows that the user will have protection without compromising mobility. The head is well protected by default due to the mask itself, so it usually remains uncovered by the battle latex. Under extreme situations it can completely cover the user at a severe energy cost, so extended use in this mode is not recommended.
For attack features, it allows the latex in the limbs to change density and extend outwards, allowing the user to latch on objects for protection, movement or capture enemies, enveloping them in latex for later processing. The latex can extend directly in an amorphous way for a quick and dirty attack, or can take the form of tentacles coming from the pack or the arms. This second variant allows the user precise control and the longer the user is inside the suit and using a Battle Pack, the more synchronized will be with it and the tentacles will start following complex orders. They can also be used as whips to lash at enemies, but lack any penetrating damage, as its not designed to kill if possible.
For movement options, the latex will allow for faster speeds and longer jumps, as it adapts to the movements and thoughts of the user, increasing the performance dramatically not unlike servos in power armor, and also cushion against long falls when needed.
Its suspected that the latex in battle packs, as the ALPAS themselves, will adapt and evolve depending on the user and develop abilities on its own, but further testing is required.
