"Looks like the storm is breaking," Isumar commented as he peeked out of the cave entrance.

"Good, I feared this one was going to last well into the night!" Akimere leaned into her mate's shoulder, allowing a contented purr to fill the calm.

"Let's go flying!" Isumar suddenly stepped up to the ledge outside their cave. For a moment it seemed that he intended to leap into the open air immediately, but quite unexpectedly he turned back to smirk back at her. "The land is still hot and I fancy a flight through the remaining clouds!"

"But the sun is already setting!"

"And?"

"It will be dark by the time we get back!"

"Didn't stop us when we were still brown-pelts!" Isumar flexed his wings before giving her another smirk. "Come on, are you scared you'll lose me in the twilight clouds?"

Akimere could only scoff at that.

"You know I'll be flying circles around you! Again!" Akimere grinned as she joined him on the ledge. "Come on then, try to keep up!"
