This is the banner I had mentioned in my previous post. :3 This one took longer for obvious reasons. If anything, I feel very proud about this as this is the first time I have done any drawing with a mouse on a desktop. ^^

The raven on there took up most of the 3-4 hours of making. The eyes were all wrong and the sillouhette was tough to 'smudge' and the pixels were a hell to work with... Gah. That little critter was tough to make.

As for that really fancy whatchamacallit at the end of the 'painting' is something that I am also proud of. I had meant to keep that black, but then I stumbled across this thing called 'opacity', 'smearing' and 'patterns'. These three ended up being put to use, and the end result was that. And for that, I am proud of.

The name also took up some time. I was wondering what the heck was happening as I was typing it and why I all of a sudden couldn't draw. Apparently, there is thing called 'layers' that organize how the drawing/photo should look. It's quite a handy thing to work with, really.

tl;dr: I had fun making this thing. Learned a lot about GIMP and what my capabilities are. Yay! Self discovery is awesome! [Gains a +1 Buddhism
