When I created this piece, I wanted to create a piece that ultimately represented the twisted and easily entangled web that can occur out of desire. On the surface it can be such a harmless thing, but before you know it, it can entrap you wrapping it’s tentacles around you till you know nothing else ultimately leading to your own demise in the long run. The inevitable being able to be watched on by your peers, especially with the power and draw of the internet.

The original idea for this piece was inspired by the interest in creating a “Zombified Rabbit” but as I started working the idea ended up changing a little more each time, and it became this interesting little blend. There were several interesting firsts with this piece from the octopus tentacles, which gave me a whole new respect for the hard work and dedication that realism artists put into their work, to the Lunar moth.
