Rain & Tea
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
I start this image before all hell broke loose in my life...
I was feeling a bit moody the day I was drawing it, sitting out side in a camper trailer, the rain pounding down, and a hot mug of tea at hand.
The previous attempts at getting ideas out was not working for me, so I got to work drawing this.
Originally, I was leaning towards a Rainy Day in Animal Village, which is where I got the Animal Crossing inspired Umbrella from.
(Though looking at it now, it is more like a Picori Umbrella from TLoZ: Minish Cap.)
The Chibi-esque style for Animal Crossing just did not seem to flow from my pencil for me, but I kept drawing anyways, and changed it to just be my regular artistic vision.
So in the cold, and rainy day, I drew up the basis for this.. and after a few redraws to touch things up, I was happy enough to ink and colour.
I used Pencil Crayons to add colour... I have not used his medium in sometime; I started off colouring with Pencil Crayons before moving to Markers.
It was fun to use them again, though I could only find my small tray of one brand.. I had a much larger one somewhere, plus a couple other brands kicking about.
Still this is the stander set I use most of the time, and it turned out very well I think.
Sometimes having a restriction on what you can do (like with a lack of colour options) can help influence one's creativity.
I am very tired now... But I am finding more time to draw at least.
I find myself pulling all night sessions doing colouring or inking of other images that I won't be posting here any time soon.
That stuff will be going to the publisher for now... maybe in year or so, it will grace the pages here.
Still, keep watching me for more to come down the road.
I am going to have a nap, a bite to eat, then more arting tonight...
