The glamorous life!
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Anyone who thinks that film production is glamorous is fooling themselves. While the finished product (if done well) looks effortlessly perfect, the work that goes into making that pretty stuff is far more rigorous than anyone realizes. This is a picture describing what any one person is doing 80% of the time on-set. 5% is spent actually shooting footage, and the remaining 15% is spent running from place to place in frantic haste, trying to meet an impossible production schedule.
Our model is, without a doubt, the most photogenic person I've ever seen. The girl does not have a bad angle on her. Well, maybe straight up her nose, but other than that she's perfect. And she's nice, too, and willing to do what it takes to make the shot. Killer combo. I'll bet she beats the boys away with a stick.
We spent 15 hours shooting this 5 minute movie, and I have no idea how it's going to turn out. I have no doubt that it's going to be beautiful, but will it tell a good story? The talent was really quite good, but the script was weak. The director/producer was wise enough to listen to suggestions from everyone on the crew (he made a few script changes based on my input) so maybe he can overcome that and edit a good final product. Our little film has its screening in nine days, so I guess we'll see then how well we did in relation to the other 89 groups (!) who entered.
