Lost Bloom
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Twenty five minutes into the pasture, I'm a lot closer to the pond. Its been slow going, as I'm looking at things and pausing to try and take pictures of all of the various types of plants that are flowering and once or twice one of the more interesting rocks that the glaciers left behind during the last big ice age. Now about a dozen pictures in, I don't know I've just had the one good photo. So when I saw this bloom and paused to snap a picture of it, unsure if it was one that had fallen off something and blown here or if it was indeed still attached to a tiny plant lost in the grass, I wasn't sure if I'd pick it to share.
But it's clear, and I can see the non-grass leaves near it in the picture, so it's being shared. You can even see some of the prairie grass that's doing better here closer to the pond.
And this picture is one of those simple smaller things that sometimes catch my eye and so I pause to look at even when I'm not looking for photos to take. There's always a lot of different things going on in the grasslands during the summer. It's pausing to look when something catches your eye that makes the place start to open up and reveal how complex it actually is. If you aren't willing to pause, it's just a boring flat land filled with grass.
I like to be distracted and pause. :)
