Dawn Falling: Aydame
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
On a lush and wild planet, creatures that might have been described to be humanoid bipedal animals emerge from the shadows, warmed beneath a new sun and living from a young, fertile land. They know little of themselves, their distant neighbouring tribes, of how they came to be; all that is known to them is the means of living, and the cost of survival. Life can begin anew from the tiniest of seeds, but only when it has dropped from the mighty tree.
Upon the sprawled meadows of the valley wander the Equinal tribe, an isolated and wary herd of horses who constantly move their home in a constant strategy of disarray. Their customs are slight, if not disciplined, ranging from the beading of the manes as signs of rank to the markings inked across their bodies in a display of maturity and lineage. Men are trained to hunt, forced to sprint from an early age to traverse the expansive meadows quickly to avoid attackers. Whilst they need not hunt, they must learn to fight in order to protect they're disputed territory from constant invasion by wolves, lions, foxes, and even on the occasion bears who all come to stake a claim to the rich ground of the pastures.
Aydame is a refined warrior and a keen strategist. Whilst he lacks the intelligence to have him become a true leader, his firm loyalty and stern values mark him as a worthy ally. Among his people he's regarded by many, though still refrains from accepting high-ranking positions within the herd for fear he may spoil his skills. Though custom would decree that he take a mare to guide his bloodline and then to collect a harem of females for his own suiting, Aydame neglects this duty in the excuse that he would rather his name be famed for his fighting than his rutting; this hides his dirty secret that his tastes lie with men, though he knows not why.
