That was a close call...
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
'He was falling towards a certain death, but at least that was quicker than being dismembered by the ravenous beasts of the jungle.
He had been running away from the predators for hours and as a last resort he climbed up to the trees and managed to move away with careful jumps and not short amount of luck, but this time he slipped, and he was sure that this was it.
...But he impacted something far earlier than he expected, still hard, but he just got winded and a bit sore, but unsplattered against the ground. Soon he noticed that whatever he impacted was alive as it started to move him upwards.
"By the maker, are you alright?! I... I... Geez, I was almost too late to catch you. Oh... Are you hurt? Of course you are, look at you, you are scratched all over. Don't... don't make any sudden moves okay? I'm going to... Yes.... Uh... Please just let me pick you up, alright?" a masculine voice said, making him open his eyes.
When he saw the male naga the sight took his breath away. He didn't expect to see such a being, least when he knew that they were somewhat reclusive. He wasn't sure what to expect and so far his fear was rising slowly... but suddenly the naga looked directly at his eyes, concern and worry all over the hybrid's face.
"Oh shit... Don't... Don't panic, I got you, alright? See? Try... Oh man I'm still a bit rattled... Uh... Look at my eyes and please don't panic. I'm not going to hurt you. I'll pull you up towards me. You are safe on my tail. I'm going very slowly because I don't know if you have more injuries, alright? Focus on my eyes and don't look down. Yes, please. Focus... That's it..."
As soon as he put his sight on the lime green eyes of the naga he felt the genuine worry he had, and felt compelled to follow his instructions. The rat found the hybrid's gaze mesmerizing and added to the adrenaline still coursing through his veins he couldn't help but blush at the closeness of the warm body of the naga.
"You are safe with me. You will be on your way before you know it, but please let me help you."
The rat nodded slowly. For the first time in who knows how many hours, he felt that everything would be ok.
