Always Looking to the Sky
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
So I initially started doing this for PMD day on twitter, missed my window and took the time because I would not forgive myself if I rushed this.
I'm not someone who "grew up" with PMD. I saw the OVA's as a kid and it colored certain things, (certain things I might end up doing with my comic now. >:3) but I didn't actually get the opportunity to play the games until much, much later when I was a teenager. My initial duo in red rescue team was myself as a bulbasaur (turned ivysaur by the end) and a totodile (who I have sadly forgotten the name of, but have taken to calling "Toto." Can't say for sure but that seems like something I would've done at the time, and its sticking as his name for now. ^^)
I think a lot of people underestimate just how much that game meant to me. Despite that and despite being a dorky teenager, I got remarkably attached to it and to that team, enough that they've never really left my psyche. The comic I'm doing probably won't feature them, so I wanted to do an actual heartfelt piece with them to show how much the game means to me.
With PMD back in peoples' psyches a lot lately, part of me likes to think that comet is a new player coming, a passing of the torch. But now I'm just getting pretentious and artsy. ^^
