*Note: This is a year old story I typed up in 2013 well Early 2013. I sent this into a contest in my college and won 3rd place but this was only first part of it. So far I have no set number of chapters or parts But I have the ending already planned out which is set up from this first chapter. So here we have a human with abilities of a thief and living in a world not his own.
If you are a Sly Cooper fan you may notice few things of character setup wise and other things. I just love that game.
I havn't done much of multiply characters communicating across each other nor have I done a big series such as this. So my first series I hope to continue.
A muscle Doberman wearing a detective badge walking down the hallway in a police station comes up to a door with the name plate reading [Lieut. Monica B. Hunter]
“Ma’am may I enter?” the Doberman asks before opening the door to the office. Inside Lieutenant Hunter or Monica as she always tells those around her to call her.
She was a straight up fox who worked her way up the ranks from her career as a police officer. She dressed in her normal outfit with a white button up shirt that covered her C cup bosom. A pair of tan color pants covering most of her legs down to her knees that seem to squeeze tight onto her body. Her fur color was nice color blue, which was odd for a fox of her species. Her tail had a small patch of white covering the tip of it that had a life of its own. Swaying back and forth as she took a sip of her mug drinking her coffee after long hours.
She turns to the door looking at the Doberman. “Ah yes detective Underwood. What is it?” answering with a stern look on her expression that she tends to always have when thinking.
Monica sighs pouring another cup, “I’ve waited a long time for this. Alright let’s go.” She replies and walks past him into the hallway.
Underwood rushing up to walk alongside her, “Would you need me in the room with you as well? I know how long you waited for this day and I don’t wish to see you lose your temper and kill him.” Underwood asks with a look of question.
“I’ll be fine don’t worry. You did make sure his cuffs were tight and all the windows were locked right. Even making sure that he had nothing hidden in his clothes? Should we do another search on him?” Monica asks in return making her ears twitch and her tail swing quicker as if something was going to happen.
“ We have checked and rechecked everything. He has nothing on him and we have even cuffed his legs to the floor and his hands to the table. He is not going anywhere. Besides were in the police station with 25 officers on guard every entrance. If he was planning to escape from here, he be a fool and a dead man walking.” Underwood replies with a grin.
Monica still looked unsure about it all but was still proud of everything. I been a long wait for this day. To finally have the man she been tracking down day and night in custody. In addition, she caught him herself. Proud moment that she caught him…”.Hello there” Monica says as she enters, waving underwood off as she closes the door.
Inside the room was a young human male. Chained to the table around his wrists, ankles chained to the floor and wearing only a worn out t-shirt with blue jeans covered in holes. His hair was brown and his eyes were colored green. Drinking a small cup of water in his hands when he looked up at her. His expression changed from emotionless to joy when he seen Monica enter the room, with a sway in her hip as she walked up to him and took his cup from him.
“Morning Monica” said the human with a smile on his face. “You sure look well. Did you get enough sleep?”
Monica looking at his cup closely than putting it back down in front of him, “I slept well thank you. Sorry for that but just making sure you didn’t have anything” she goes on saying.
“ We both know how much of a clever person you are with trickery Mr…what should I call you now?”
The man gives her a bigger grin, “Well that is up to you. You know who I am but what you wish to call me”
She remembers it well. Every heist he pulled always left a card with a picture of a smiling face and a name that said, Loki the Phantom. Sure it spoke of the Greek god Loki the god of mischief and tricky but this man was no god.
“Well then, is it really Loki? Or is it something else. You might as well tell me since you and I aren’t going anywhere for a good while.” Monica tells him not moving her eyes from his own, which seem to be unresponsive.
“I guess I can give you my name as this is our very first official date alone together.” The human replies with a grin on his faces and then takes a sip of his water to clear his throat.
“Still trying to be a charmer and a funny guy huh? Will not work here I am afraid. I have you were hereand now you will answer me straightly with no silly business. Alright?” Monica blurts out to get the humans eyes to strike a confusing then an expression of agreement.
“Fair enough but don’t deny we have a connection. However, on a correct note you did not capture me by yourself. I allowed you too. Next note is you can relax and drink your coffee, I am not going anywhere. For now anyways.” The human states taking another sip of his drink but not taking his eyes off her own.
Monica little upset he claims to allowed himself to be caught but dismisses his little play on words and ask again, “You going to tell me your name or you just going to sit and play staring games with me?”
The man laughs, “I could look into your eyes for years, and never get tired mejillas dulces (sweet cheeks). Alright my friends call me Ydobon unless you prefer I go by Loki. I recommend Loki myself” He continues to smile at her.
Keeping a steady look, she smiles showing her pearly white teeth after hearing his name made up name which to her knowledge was Nobody just spelt backwards.
“You shouldn’t be lying to me you know. Sooner or later you will tell me what I need from you” her tone changed to a little threating making him chuckle.
“I would never lie to such a beauty such as yourself my lady. I will however spread the truth out to make it so. Never the less it’s the name for this conversation” he comments back.
She realizes he will not tell her right now so she continues. “Very well... Loki, we did a scan of your fingerprints, background, eye scan and we found nothing. We have no records anywhere in the known world of you being born here. This strikes me as odd but for as mysterious as you are not so much. Would you care to explain why?” she asks then takes a sip of her own coffee to keep her alert.
Loki watches her closely not blinking but when he does, he closes his eyes and sighs. “Yeah you can say I am not a born citizen here or…anywhere. I am..nobody.” his tone seemed to be sad but unfazed by his own choice of words. Still keeping his eyes closed he goes on.
“ I have no family here. No place to call home, but I do have friends. And as friends they are my family now so I’m not sad being alone because of it.” Opening his eyes, he leans forward looking at Monica.
“Do you really want to know that much of the guy you been playing cat and mouse with for so long? Who I am. What I am. How I came here…and why I do the things I do?” He gives her a look of question waiting for her answer but smiles up at her, as he knew the answer.
Monica leans back crossing her arms under her chest prompting her breasts to be held above her arms. She looks at him wanting to answer but unsure if it would matter. She been on this man for a long time and always questioned the things he did. She wanted to know. She had to know the things he did and what purpose. Where he was from and more over his so-called friends. She pretty sure, he was referring to his group he hanged out with. The ones who helped him out and the ones they were keeping a sharp eye out for case they tried to break him out of here.
She nods her head at Loki, “Alright Loki. You got my attention and time to tell me your life story. However, keep it brief if you can, I got a lot more questions before I send you to prison for a very long time.
Loki simply nodded, “Sure thing my lady but I will do my best to keep things brief but my tale is more than I can say in few words.”
He takes a sip of his water, shaking the cup as asking for a refill. Monica hits a buzzer under the table and Detective Underwood walks in.
“Any problems Ma’am?” Underwood asks looking between Monica and Loki who was looking at her with an odd expression that seem to piss him off.
“Please refill his cup Detective.” Monica answers pointing at his cup.
Underwood takes his cup but not before giving Loki a low growl which he paid no mind to as he never took his eyes off Monica. He walks out into the hall and using the water tank to refill it. Tempting to spit into the cup but shook his head as not to fall so low. However, the human pissed him off as to gotten the full attention of Monica who he had soft side for.
Returning to the room he puts the cup down on the table and looks at Monica who was now fixing her shirt hair but stopped with his return.
“ Anything else you need ma’am? He not giving you any trouble is he?”
Monica shakes her head, “No but thank you for your concern that be all. Our friend here has been behaving himself. Dismissed.”
The Doberman nods his head and just before he leaves, he looks at Loki. Giving off a hatful look that Loki looks back at and nods with a smile. Damn it pisses him off.
After the Doberman leaves Loki speaks up.
“ He seems to have a crush on you. I understand his feelings. Have you two slept together in the past?” Loki says as he takes a sip of his new water.
Monica looks at him a little upset at his remark but calms herself. “Funny but my life is nothing for to be concern about. Now would you please tell me? Where did you come from?”
Loki looks at Monica then down inside his cup of water. Sighs,
“What if I told you that I am not a human from this world but another.” Loki says as he looks up from his water.
“ And the world I am from…I wasn’t what you see before you now”
