Off On A Paper Airplane

It so happens that I've been away from the computer for a while thanks to offline activity (a visiting aunt and friends), but also… I'm now on #Mastodon.

You'd think going there was as simple as signing up and you'd be set to start tooting and you'd be completely right. Unless you're me, that is, because I like to complicate things for myself apparently. :,)
There's a lot to see! For starters it looks like Tweetdeck (on the Web) so that part wasn't too strange, but there were extra columns I had no idea what they were for. Coupled with having little guidance and no friends there I was a little lost. After getting the hang of what went where (and why) I started searching for people to follow to populate my timeline. This need is somewhat mitigated by the my instance's local timeline and the federated one, but still it was fun searching for new people.
These have been a fun past few days there, you all should come hang out too! The community is growing and it feels very lively. If anyone should decide to join and has any questions you can always ask me and I'll try to help. c:
