KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

Deuce was busy. He was measuring sugar with the focus of a man preparing for battle. He had to make sure it was absolutely perfect. The cocoa butter and powder had already been measured and portioned for when he had to mix them.

Trey’s voice startled him, nearly making him drop the bag of sugar he was holding.

“Any particular reason you wanted to learn to make chocolate all of a sudden?” Trey asked him.

“N-no particular reason. Just thought it would be fun.” Deuce replied.

“Right. Anyway, once you’ve got everything measured, we’re going to put in the cocoa butter first, okay?” Trey said.

Deuce nodded. He was glad Trey agreed to help him. Deuce wasn’t the best at baking in any form, and he absolutely couldn’t mess this up.

He hoped Ace wasn’t having too hard a time with his part.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ace was having a hard time.
How was he supposed to know flowers came in so many different colors? Or that they had different meanings? Sure, he could go with just the classic roses, but that felt…impersonal. He had to make sure this bouquet was special. Red carnations looked nice, and it was something different from roses. Maybe a few of those? And a couple Forget-me-nots too. Ace looked around at the selection of flowers.
The two types of flowers he had picked were nice, but he wanted one more kind to really complete things.
His eyes landed on the selection of dahlias. Perfect! They even came in purple.
With the bouquet complete, now he just had to pick out a card to go with it. Just something sweet and not too sappy. That shouldn’t be too hard, right?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It had taken Deuce a few tries and a lot of burnt chocolate, but finally he finished a good-sized batch of them. Trey had some candy molds he let Deuce use, so Deuce picked the ones he thought were cutest. So he had little chocolate hearts, roses, and bears all in a little pink bag tied with a ribbon.

Ace had finished up his shopping as well. It took him longer than expected to find a card that was sappy, but not too sappy, but still cute. But he was really happy with how the bouquet looked. The colors meshed together really nicely.

Now that both of their parts were done, they headed over to Ramshackle Dorm.

Yuu hadn’t been expecting anything special for Valentine’s Day. It didn’t really seem like that big of a holiday in Twisted Wonderland. So when they went to answer the knock at the door they were expecting anything, and certainly not–

“Happy Valentine’s Day!” two voices gleefully cheered.

Ace and Deuce were standing at the door, both eagerly showing Yuu what they had brought.

Ace handed them the bouquet and card, and Deuce handed them the bag of chocolate.

“Oh, these flowers are lovely! I’ll have to put them in a vase. And Deuce, did you make these yourself? They're so cute!” Yuu said.

With both their boys being so thoughtful, Yuu thought it was only fair for them to receive a gift as well.

Yuu pressed a kiss to Ace’s cheek, then turned and did the same to Deuce. Both boys went bright red. Yuu giggled at that. After all that, Ace and Deuce still got flustered so easily.

It really was a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
