\n Would you look at this...I'm getting faster. Anyway here's the 5th chapter of Shadow of a freelancer. It gets a little bloody towards the end so if you don't like death, gore, or mutilation don't read this.

\n "Rrahkarr? You...you're alive!" Ada said to Maya's surprise and ran up to him and pulled him into a hug and began crying "We thought you were dead."

\n He wasn't sure how to act, while she cried he looked over to Maya who looked like she was in disbelief, and David who was surprised. He let out a sigh and put his paws on Ada's shoulders and stepped back.

\n "The Rrahkarr you once knew is dead." He said as he looked away.

\n "What do you mean Rrahkarr?" Ada asked.

\n "I'm no longer who you remembered me as. I've...changed." Rrahkarr said.

\n "But, you are alive!" David said.

\n "In a sense...I suppose, but after Lliam and my friends were killed...I've been seeking revenge. And I've done anything to achieve it."

\n "Then why are you here?" Maya asked with a sad look on her face.

\n "To pay my respects to Lliam...and to let you all know that I'm alive. I didn't plan on seeing you in person but I was going to at least let you know that I was ok by leaving a letter...Maya." He said as he looked over to her.

\n "Then why did you conceal you identity to me back in town when you helped us?" Maya asked.

\n "What happened in town?" David asked.

\n "Billy and his gang were harassing us and Rrahkarr helped us and got rid of them after they attacked him." Maya told him.

\n "See...you are still yourself." Ada said trying to convince Rrahkarr that he was still himself.

\n Rrahkarr let out a sigh and said "One act of kindness does not negate a thousand acts of unjust killing." to their surprise "the reason why I hid my identity from you Maya was because I don't want my enemies to discover who I am. They would use you to get to me."

\n "What enemies? What have you been doing?" Maya asked after she ran up to Rrahkarr.

\n "I can't tell you who they are...but...what were you told about Lliams death?" Rrahkarr asked.

\n "That he fell in the line of duty, how does that have to do with this?" Maya asked.

\n "Lliam didn't just die in the line of duty...he was murdered, and the mission we were on changed who would have died that day." He told them.

\n "What do you mean?" David asked.

\n "It's the same reason why I've changed...I would have died that day instead of Lliam. An assassination you could call it by a leader of an organization that I'm hunting down...that's all I can tell you." Rrahkarr said as he turned around. "It was good seeing you all again."

\n Before he could do anything Maya turned him around and said "You're leaving! So you just show up say a few reasons about why you've disappeared then leave!"

\n He was about to answer her when he heard something and noticed a change in the air and the scent it brought. He knew the others wouldn't be able to smell it, but he could definitely tell that someone close by was carrying weapons of some kind and heard the weapons as the smacked against something like armor. Whoever it was was not friendly.

\n Then he heard the click of a mechanism of a weapon as it loaded. He then heard the same weapon fire multiple times. He quickly grabbed Maya who protested and dove a couple yards towards Ada and David just before five rounds of what may have been fired from a plasma rifle hit right behind him. One shot hit where he was standing and the other four had hit the gravestones of their family leaving craters where they hit.

\n Maya screamed when she saw the explosion behind her. Rrahkarr had just barely saved his and her lives but he didn't have time to rest because he heard multiple guns going off. He made Maya hang onto his back as he grabbed Ada under one arm and David under the other and began sprinting towards the manor with explosions right behind him.

\n Then...something happened that shouldn't have been able to happen. The shots began hitting in front of him and many nearly hit him and the ones he was carrying. He was running at full speed; which was faster then anyone could see, and yet it was like they knew where he was and where to fire to hit him.

\n The only person he knew that would be able to do that was Murazar but he knew he wouldn't fire at them, so it was someone else with powers like theirs. He was close to the manor but he knew they wouldn't make it at this rate. He was running slower with all of them on him and he cursed him self for being careless when coming here. But at the last moment he remembered the shelter his father had built under the manor and the secret entrance to it which was luckily just ahead of them.

\n It required a voiced code and remembered his code for it. It was his name and birth date. Even more shots where fired from all around him as he drew closer to it and when he was in range of the entrance he yelled out his code.

\n "Rrahkarr 3-21-2309!"

\n The entrance broke through the grass that had grown over it after he said his code, and reviled a staircase that led down into the shelter. He dove into it just before several shots would have hit him. They all fell down the stairs and when they hit the bottom Rrahkarr slammed the emergency close button...it didn't work.

\n Other then a few bruises everyone was fine, but Rrahkarr feared for the others when who ever was firing at them reached the top of the stairs. In that moment he changed, Rrahkarr was now Shadow once again.

\n He turned to them and said "Run all the way to the end of here...there should be a well stocked fortified room at the end. RUN!" as they took off.

\n He waited by the wall next to the stairs for when they entered, instead someone called down to him.

\n "Come on out...there's no escape!"

\n "Oh sure thing...I'd like the bullet in the head if you don't mind fuckers!" he said sarcastically.

\n "How bout' this then, if you don't come out we'll just blow this fucking place off the face of the Earth!" The man up top yelled.

\n "That's one hell of a threat to bad you're bluffing!"

\n "I bet you've never seen weapons like the ones where using." He said.

\n He was right; Shadow had never seen weapons that could do what the ones they used were doing. The man might be right shadow thought. The least he could do was go up there, once there he could attack them using his speed...there's no way they could keep up at that close.

\n "Fine, I'm coming up." Shadow said and walked up to the surface.

\n Once he was up there, the first thing he noticed was that all of them were wearing a power suit similar to the Freelancers only the names that were on them were crossed out. Then he counted how many their were and in total counted eight...and all of them were human.

\n "I don't understand...I thought the legendary immortal Freelancer Delta was human...not some damned fur?!" the one who had spoke to him while he was in the shelter and obvious leader of them said with emphases on damned fur.

\n "You're after Delta huh well I'm just as good as him." Shadow said.

\n "Your not worth the air you breath." The leader said.

\n "Wait sir...I know who he is." One of the others said.

\n "Well?" the leader said impatiently.

\n "He's Deltas pet...Freelancer Shadow."

\n While they talked Shadow was sizing them up, the armor they wore looked to be older then him and the weapons they carried he had never seen before. They all looked like they had seen as much battle as Delta and the way they stood and walked seemed like they had been around for quite some time.

\n "Shadow huh...I bet we could get some pay for killing him. What do you think brothers?" the leader asked the others when Shadow bolted towards the closest one.

\n He was on him in a second and the man seemed like he didn't see it coming. Shadow was about to grab the weapon but the man moved just as fast as Shadow and hit him across the side with the weapon as he past by. The way the man moved caught Shadow off guard and the attack he was completely unprepared for.

\n "I don't know about you but to me...he moves just like Delta." The one who hit him said.

\n "How the hell...did you see me?" Shadow asked.

\n "Benefits from our employers the Electus." The leader said.

\n "The Electus! I get it now...I know about you guys." Shadow said as he coughed and stood up.

\n "Oh and what do you know about us?" the leader asked.

\n "I know you're a bunch of Outcasts; because you had problems with us furs and broke away from the Freelancers...oh and who lost the Freelancer civil war...fuckin pussies." Shadow told him which earned him a powerful kick to the face.

\n Shadow spat out some blood and smiled "That the best you got?" then surprised them as he charged the leader.

\n The leader was a lot slower then the other Outcast he attacked. Shadow easily grabbed him by the arm and twisted it until it broke then ripped it off as the leader yelled out in pain. He hung onto the Outcast leader which kept the others from shooting him. Then the leader started laughing.

\n Shadow was about to ask what was funny but saw why he was laughing. His arm was almost completely grown back. Then it dawned on him what the benefits of the Electus were, they had genetically modified these Outcasts each with one ability. The one he first attacked had incredible speed, and the leader had improved healing abilities and even regeneration.

\n "You have to be fucking kidding me." Shadow said then grabbed the mans weapon and quickly fired at the Outcast with incredible speed.

\n He tried to dodge it but, at this close a range he was hit and all that remained was an explosion of blood and body parts. The blood sprayed on everyone and a couple, who didn't close their eyes, was blinded temporarily due to the blood in their eyes.

\n Now that the one with speed was gone Shadow began killing the others quickly and gruesomely. He was cautious because he didn't know the others abilities but they weren't able to stop him. All that was left was the leader of whom Shadow still was holding.

\n "Look's like you're all that's left, and I'm going to put your healing abilities to use." Shadow said with an evil grin.

\n Half an hour later he had removed the Outcast leader's armor and had snapped, broken, smashed, and ripped body parts off the man, leaving a large bloody mess on the ground and on Shadow. He was close to unconsciousness with how much blood he had lost and Shadow was still torturing him.

\n Shadow didn't bother with talking to the man but he was screaming for mercy, and every time he did Shadow stopped what he was doing for a few second then began punching the man in the face. He then got bored with that and searched the man and happened to find a knife.

\n With a smile that made the Outcast shiver he began cutting into the mans torso and slowly removed his organs. He then decided to see how well the human's circulatory system worked and started cutting open his arm and pulled the flesh apart. At one point as he sliced down the arm, blood sprayed from one of the veins he cut coating him with a fresh layer of thick crimson blood.

\n Shadow at this point was soaked red with blood and his eyes were close to fully glowing. He was almost completely out of control. As blood sprayed his face he swallowed any of the iron rich blood of his prey. He then cut open the Outcast's chest and removed his lungs just to watch them grow back and laughed.

\n With another smile he reached into the Outcasts chest past his lungs and heart all the way to the back and grabbed hold of his spine. He then lifted the man off the ground by his spine and when he was four feet of the ground, you could hear at a distance, the spine snapping under the weight of the man.

\n The Outcast was begging for death at this point, and Shadow was just a hair from become ferial and trying to consume the man. But when he heard a gasp from the secret entrance to the shelter he stopped what he was doing and dropped the man to the ground. He slowly turned to face Maya with his blue glowing eyes and stared at her...
