Rebelle Proof
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Hey, peeps.
I just got a copy of an application I have been meaning to try out for a while now, Rebelle, in a current Humble Bundle. The tool is a decent wet material simulator but a bit pricey for what it is; Corel Painter is a better deal in that price bracket even if the wet material sim is a little poorer. At $20 and with 100% of that going to the International Otter Survival Fund if you so choose via Humble, I'm more than down to give Rebelle a try.
This is a materials test of pencil, fountain pen, acrylic, watercolor, under-painting, and wash to get a feel for the tools. I'm very impressed and may start more basic projects or even paint expressive ones in this new application. The secondary tools are limited, such as guides or filters... but if you're not looking for a photo editor and more interested in physical medium emulation I highly recommend a try while the Humble Bundle is still live. I especially recommend this is you have a Surface due to the Surface Pen being fully supported for once, and also neat on a tablet because water pooling, running, and buildup can be set to use accelerometer data to emulate the real deal as if your tablet were a proper canvas.
Just a quick (unpaid) review and a sketch! Carbon, ott!
