Raul was a boy who was put under great pressure by his parents. He was accordingly examined for magical talent early and as quickly as possible housed in Festum in 'The Hall of the Mercury' to focus on his magic talent - no easy life for a kid.
Constantly exposed to the conspiracy theories of his father, he developed a panic at all lizard-like creatures, and even considered the smallest salamander as a potential intriguer.
But his enthusiasm was undiminished for artifacts so he developed an unexpected talent in this field of 'magical science'. As a highly specialized Artefact-Magician he is, despite its age, a true artist in his craft.
Grewing up in the Bornlands he lives out of the direct and forthright dealing in a good-natured way. Rather on a good beer instead of constantly listening to quarrel and hypocrisy. But sadly he can rarely see if someone plays tricks with him.

As an unpredictable force in This' eyes, object of great interest for Sigis and source of anxiety for Gruk ,suffering from Arkanophobia (fear of magic), Raul is filling the place of an eccentric in the group and usually talks much in a complex way to explain his theories to his companions.
