Boldly Kobold
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
In the process of setting myself up on SoFurry, I'm uploading my older works here; for the sake of ease of headaches and to provide context and descriptions, I'm including what I originally wrote for this piece below. After starting to get serious about drawing in November of 2015, I'm quite proud of how much progress I've made--and I think if you find yourself curious to peek, you'll see those strides through these pieces too!
Original description:
I decided I wanted to draw a new kobold character, so here she is; I haven't settled on a name for her yet, but I did decide that her origins were not always kobold in nature--and some manner of magic has rendered a once considerably taller knightly woman a more prodigiously pint-sized dungeon dweller. Here she is at all of 2'6" fiercely brandishing a short sword.
More experimentation with drawing, line work, coloring and shading--I'm very happy over all with how she turned out. This is another piece where I wanted to attempt to draw a character entirely from scratch e.g. without a reference or model and given that, I'm pleased with the results. The initial sketching and whatnot went fairly quickly, but between the holidays and other business finishing this took longer than I expected. Still, I hope you folks like her as well!
Here's a time-lapse gif of the whole process if you're excited to peek: http://i.imgur.com/QAKl23T.gifv
