Born a black fox; Genki filled himself with a passion for living and music and as a result when he transcended to become a yokai- his magic is also music based. Gifted a demon-silk strung shamisen by a jorogumo in human form, Genki travels Japan sharing his music and learning new songs. Genki can even preform the kagura, which put him in the good graces of the okami of the dawn. Genki is not one to poke his nose where it does not belong, and he tends to keep his head down when trouble arises but a chance encounter with Keiko changed that. Now Genki's fur has turned snow white in stark contrast to its natural black as he has become one of Inari's myobu kitsune.

Genki often tries to act cool but he isn't fooling anyone; you can tell at a glance he is a lovable goof. Thanks to his change of heart with Keiko his fur turned white to represent his new divine path, but Keiko also changed for the better thanks to Genki. Keiko now holds a white magatama that embodies Genki's aspect.
