I got this for Christmas back in 2013 and had just finished reading it this summer. I first came across it a few years ago while at a outlet mall in St. Michael MN, the cover of the book had caught my eye and read the summary on the back to know about it.

After reading it, I just had to get my own copy and waited for a year or more before getting a copy of my own last Christmas.

I felt sorry for him having to lose his dad but it was the only way to save him from total destruction, it reminded me a lot of what it took to save me from my addiction that destroyed my childhood and lasted until I was 21 or 23 yrs old. I'm so very thankful to be free of that addiction that had ruined my life and forced me to "grow up" faster.

And looking back, I learned a lot of moral lessons from it and am very thankful to have loving and caring parents as well as having God in my life to help me through those dark hours.
