Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
or how to traditional.
I did this at my local Wendy's over the course of an hour and a half, give or take, sitting there, having a coffee, and just taking my time.
This is a a commission, i have not had one of those in a while, so I thought i would go over the process on how I do things, shown here going from Left to Right.
What the guy wanted was a bust/head shot of his german shepard self for a profile page. I had to work off some Second Life images, which were not all that easy to work from. If you guys want to use an SL image for a reference, be sure to turn up the lighting and don't you a dark, near black background with your dark, near black character. heh heh.
This was drawn on one of my standard Con Badge slips of cardstock (3 inches by 4 inches) and through out the process, I used my phone to take a picture, upload it to my computer, and send it to him via Skype for approval.
1) Rough concept, the pose is good, but looks a bit too femmy; he is a nice dommy type of dog!
2) Much better, but asked for a few more minor tweaks, but over all, this is acceptable.
3) A photo of the inked version. Not perfect but acceptable.
4) A scan of the work now, a few minor tweak, nothing noticeable unless you look really hard!
5) Coloured using pencil crayons! I love pencil crayons, though I must admit, I really miss using PRANG. I was able to do more with a smaller pallet via these PRISMA COLOURS. Still this looks decent and the Prisma's blend nicely!
I am hoping buy Mid January to have a price sheet up and a downloadable commission sheet available for people to use. Over the past few months I get the occasional quiry as to if I am doing commissions or not, and while I was never officially closed, I just didn't have the time or the energy, still don't but I will find the time and so on to get a few worked on.
2015 was a really bad year for output, i have not had a year this bad, production-wise, in about a decade or so. I am hoping to get more done for 2016!
