I won't really get into the thick of details about him and his past, as that is still work in development that is prone to change, but a core aspect of him is that his selflessness and selfishness become interchangeable at times. He makes wrong choices for all the good reasons and vice versa, an aspect that stems from his young age and implicit lack of experience. Later on, he'll realize that not everything that is frowned upon deserves his prejudice, but until then, the young drake will keep following his heart, thinking that it leads him in all the good directions.

That's a bit psychological, but for the more detailed and mundane answer, it is best that you check out the story. It is a commission done for a friend, sure, but you know how much I love to develop the backstories of characters on the side and not only write dozens of pages of erotica XD
