KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

I got out of my cave because I was thirsty. Guess I should have got myself a drink from the lake nearby before I went into the cave to sleep for the night.

As soon as I walked out of the mouth of the cave, I saw something over the trees. I could see a light and smoke in the distance.

My face went wide when I knew what it was. Something's burning nearby.

Then I let out a gasp. No...Not again.

Wayne!

I started to run through the forest through the bushes and trees, knowing that his house is on fire.

*****

I backed away from the kitchen window, seeing the flames outside. Shit the house is on fire!

I need to get out of here!

I whirled around and ran. Almost hitting my leg at the kitchen table. But I dodged it. I ran to the stairs and ran upstairs. I need to find mom and dad and get out of here.

I made it to the top step and ran on the second floor. I hollered as soon as I was close to mom and dad's room, "Mom! Dad! Wake up!" I barged into their room and both of them woke up fast from their sleep. Their eyes wide with shock.

Dad rubbed his eyes and asked, "Wayne, what is it?"

I ran to their bed, "Guys the house is on fire, we need to get out of here NOW!"

Mom's face went wide with fear, "It's WHAT?!" Then suddenly debris started to fall from the ceiling of their room, the debris on fire. Mom screamed.

Then mom and dad got up quickly from their bed and we all ran out of the bedroom before more debris could fall. Mom and dad went downstairs, but I ran to my room. I needed to get a few things.

Dad hollered, "Wayne, get downstairs now!"

But I needed my knife to protect myself and them, someone started this fire! I opened my bedroom door and I barged in there. I saw my bag that I've packed up on the ground and I picked it up, swinging it over my shoulder.

I saw my knife and the photo of me and Joanna together and I picked them both up. Then I ran out of the door and ran downstairs. Mom and dad already left and I could see the living room is now a burning blaze! My eyes went wide. Shit!

I ran immediately to the front door and I ran outside. Running out to the yard until I was in a safe distance. I whirled around to watch my house in flames.

The whole house is literally on fire as I stared at it. I sighed and looked at both my hands with the knife and the photo in them.

Well I know that I needed a weapon and I know that photo is irreplaceable. I wouldn't live without it.

Mom and dad ran to me nearby and they both hugged me. Mom cried out, "Are you crazy?! You just ran to your room to get your stuff! Are you completely insane!?!"

While they were hugging me, I said, "Thought I had time, and I'm lucky I didn't stay in there long."

Dad giggled and they both pulled themselves away from me. Dad said, "Well at least your alive. I could understand why you went to get your bag and that photo."

Mom wrapped her arms around me again, "But don't ever do that again, ok? Not EVER!"

I hugged her back, "I'm fine mother. I'm fine." Then we all watched the house and it's still on fire.

What could have started it?

Before I could think of anything else, I saw something near the house. It looked like a big figure. The size of an dragon.

A dragon with blue scales.

I hollered, "Sierra? Is that you?"

The blue dragon started walking toward us, with a fierce look on its face.

My eyes went wide. That's not Sierra!

She wouldn't do this!

I shoved mom and dad away, "Guys, get in the car and get out of here!"

Dad had a quizzical look on his face, "Why? Who is that?"

I shouted and motioned my hand to the car, "GO NOW!"

They didn't hesitate any longer and they both looked at the dragon who is still advancing toward us, they both ran away to the car afterwards.

I watched them run and I looked at the dragon who stopped when it got close to me.

The dragon's gaze fixated on me.

I glared at it and said, "Who are you? And what do you want?"

The dragon let out a loud roar and I stumbled backwards until I fell on my butt. My face went wide and I pulled out the knife and said, "Stay back!" I started to crawl away from it as well.

The dragon growled and then I could see smoke coming out of its mouth.

My eyes went wide. He's going to blow fire at me!

It blew flames at me and I rolled out of the way before the flames hit me. I rolled and rolled, until I was in a safe distance. I go up on my feet and just held the knife in my hands. The dragon was done blowing flames at the ground and it found out I got out of the way and he saw me standing. It had an angry look on its face.

As I stared at it, my brain was whirled with thoughts. What am I going to do? Run away in the woods? It might catch me. Or could it catch me?

I looked at the driveway and saw that the car is gone. Good, mom and dad have left. I turned my gaze onto the dragon again. How the hell am I suppose to stop it?

I backed away from the blue dragon and then the dragon growled at me again.

I shouted, "What the hell do you want from me?!"

It was getting ready to strike at me with its paw, but before it could do that another blue dragon came out of the woods and charged at it with its horns. The other blue dragon charged at it so hard and when the other blue dragon hit the blue dragon who tried to kill me so hard into its side, the force of the charge knocked the blue dragon away. Landing on its side hard.

I realized who that other blue dragon was. Sierra!

Sierra just stood there looking at the blue dragon on the ground. Her teeth baring. Her wings flaring.

The blue dragon got up from the ground and got into a fighting stance against Sierra, it growled at her. Then they both started to circle around each other. Waiting for which one will make their first move.

I took cover in the woods, and I just stood in them and watched.

Sierra and the blue dragon roared at each other and they both started to fight. Claws and teeth and all.

I saw the blue dragon making a swipe at Sierra's neck and she dodged moving to the side. She swiped back and her paw hit its head. The blue dragon shook its head after her paw hit it and tried to blow flames at Sierra.

Sierra charged at it with her horns and she knocked it away before it could spurt fire at her.

The blue dragon fell backwards to the ground real hard and Sierra snarled at it, "Stay away from my Wayne!"

The blue dragon immediately got on its feet and not before a second ended, it swiped its paw at her again and only this time the claws hit her chest. I saw blood coming from her chest. Sierra roared out in pain. The blue dragon then whirled around on her and its tail hit her so hard in the head, the force of the tail knocked her away. She landed in a heap.

I screamed, "Sierra!!!"

The blue dragon saw me and it blew flames at me again. My eyes went wide and I ran out of the woods and the flames hit the trees. Lighting them on fire.

Sierra got up as quick as she could and saw the blue dragon attacking me again. She cried out, "Wayne!" Then she had a furious look on her face and she ran and jumped at the blue dragon. Two of her paws hit the blue dragon knocking it away. The force of the push from Sierra sent the blue dragon into the burning house. The house crumbling away.

Sierra breathed heavily after she saw the blue dragon crashing into the house. I watched from nearby and hollered, "Sierra!"

Sierra got out of her angry trance and saw me. She beamed at me, "Wayne!"

That's when I saw that the blue dragon is still alive and it's moving out of the house. My face went wide with shock and fear and I said to Sierra, "Look out!"

Sierra caught my gaze and the blue dragon charged and pounced on her. She cried out and they both crashed to the ground. The blue dragon pinning her to the ground.

Sierra snarled and started to claw at it. One of her claws hitting at its shoulder, blood coming out of it. Not long after that, she used one of her hind feet to kick the blue dragon in the stomach and knocked it off of her. The blue dragon landed on its back and Sierra got on her feet. Then she jumped on the blue dragon and pinned it to the ground.

Before the blue dragon could fight back, Sierra dug her jaws into the blue dragon's throat tight and ripped it out. Blood gushing from its neck.

I shut my eyes at the sight of the blood, "Ah!"

Sierra just stood over the blue dragon's body breathing heavily over it. Then she spat on it. Soon after that she walked away from it and whirled around on it. She saw me and smiled at me, "Wayne."

I shook my head out of my shock and I smiled back at her, "Sierra." I ran to her and she lowered her head to my level. I wrapped my arms around her neck hugging her.

Sierra started to cry when she knew I was safe, "Wayne!" Then she started to caress my back with her paw.

I kissed her nose and held my head close to hers. While my house is still on fire.

*****

Morning came and I was just patching up Sierra's wounds outside the burned down house. She laid down on her stomach. I put some disinfectant on the cloth and I dabbed at the wounds on her chest. She snarled in pain.

I said to her in a comforting voice, "Yes, I know it hurts. But trust me it'll make you feel better."

Sierra groaned and said, "Damn that dragon! If only I saw it coming, then it wouldn't have hit my chest."

I nodded, "Yeah I know, I know."

Last night was pretty scary. Not very long after the blue dragon died, the trees that it spurt its flame on were still on fire. Sierra had to flap her wings at the burning trees to put the fire out and we're lucky that the whole woods weren't on fire.

Meanwhile a few hours later, mom and dad came back with medical supplies and they were surprised that I was still alive. Of course, my mom berated me for staying behind, but if all of us left, the dragon would have flew after us in the car. So basically that's why I stayed behind.

Sierra hissed again when I put the cloth on her again. And my thoughts were on that blue dragon. Why would he want to kill me? Kill Sierra in fact as well? Why try to kill my family too?

For some reason it showed up here last night and tried to burn down the house with me and my family in it. It must have blown fire on it. It was pretty deliberate.

It wanted to kill us, but why?

Sierra did say she didn't know who it was. She never met him before.

Yes, I found out from Sierra that the blue dragon is a male. Which it doesn't matter now anyways, because it's dead now.

Dad came toward us and asked with a concerned look on his face, "How's she doing?"

Sierra narrowed her eyes at dad, "I'm right here you know. You don't have to ask your son that question."

Dad shook his head, "Sorry about that sweetie. How are YOU doing?"

Sierra closed her eyes and answered, "Other than hissing in pain and in frustration, I'm fine. Didn't mortally wound me."

Mom came as well and with a smile on her face she said, "That's good."

I muttered when I was putting stitches on her, "Well she barely made it out of the fight alive. I'm just glad she's okay."

Dad shrugged, "So who was that dragon? Why did it attack us?"

Sierra opened her eyes and shook her head, "I don't know, I never met him before. For some reason it was after us. Well first I think it wanted to kill you first and then it wanted to kill me last."

I asked, "I wonder why really?"

Sierra sighed, "I wish I knew. I guess it didn't like me being friends with humans. That bastard."

Dad asked, "So what happens now?"

Sierra said, "Well for one thing, let the wildlife eat the bastard who's body is still on the ground nearby." She looked at the body, which is still there. Then she said, "Second, me and Wayne are gong back home."

Mom had a worried look on her face, "Wait a second! Wayne, you're just going to leave? Leave us? After what happened?"

I looked at mom and gave her a stern look, "Mom, it's over now. No one is going to hurt me anymore. Or you. Besides that I don't want to leave Sierra alone, I can't...Leave her. She needs me."

Sierra looked at mom and said, "And besides that I'm still worked up from last night. Not to mention the pain stings! But we're going back to the city together. Our friends are waiting for us."

Dad asked, "But what if the blue dragon is not the only one who wants to kill you?"

I frowned at dad, "What do you mean?"

He said, "I mean, what if he wasn't alone on this? What if he's not the only dragon who wants to kill you?"

My eyes went wide when he asked me and Sierra that. Jesus, what if he's right? What if that blue dragon is not the only one? What if he hadn't planned this alone? What if he has friends who also want to kill...Me?

I don't want to think about it. Dad could be wrong. I don't want to get paranoid.

I said to dad, "Look dad I know what you're thinking, but not all dragons are like..." I pointed at the dead blue dragon, "Him." Then I dropped my hand to my side and said, "A lot of dragons are friendly to me, so I wouldn't worry about it."

Mom shrugged, "So what are your father and I are suppose to do?"

I answered, "Well for one thing, I hope you have homeowner's insurance, because you guys just lost the house. At least go on with your lives."

Sierra said, "Or you can come with us as well. I could take all of you on my back."

Mom and dad glanced at each other and then they looked me and Sierra. Dad said, "Thank you for the offer, but me and Mary are going to town to find a motel to stay in. We'll be fine."

Mom asked, "But what about you? Are you two going to be fine?"

I nodded, "Yeah, I think we'll be fine. We just need to ask some officers in the dragon city who the hell is this dragon and why the hell would this dragon want to kill us?"

Sierra grinned at mom and said, "Trust me I'll be fine. Us female dragons are tougher than you think."

Mom giggled, "I think all of us girls are." Then they both giggled.

Dad then came and hugged me, "I'm so glad you're safe Wayne."

I returned the hug, "I know." Then I pulled away from him and said, "Hey at least I didn't die in the fire, while I ran into my room and got my stuff. I didn't want to lose them."

Dad giggled at me, "That really was a stupid idea."

I shrugged, "Sometimes you need to take a chance and I took it."

Dad nodded, "Yeah." Then he and mom backed away from us.

Mom said, "I hope we'll see you again soon Wayne. We'll miss you."

I smiled at them, "Don't worry, I'll pay you a visit every once in a while."

That's when dad narrowed his eyes, "Just remember Wayne and Sierra. That dragon probably wasn't alone on this. When you guys get into the city just remember...Be careful. You may never know who he worked with until it's too late, understand?"

Me and Sierra nodded. Sierra gave dad a comforting smile, "We'll be fine."

Dad whirled around on us and said to mom, "Lets go." Then he walked to the car. Mom just stared at me for another moment and went to the car as well.

Dad started to car and they backed out of the driveway, leaving us alone. I sighed when they left.

Sierra lowered her head to my level and nudged my back with her nose, "Wayne, are you done patching my wounds yet? I want to fly back home now."

I grinned at her, "Sure I need to put the last stich on your chest and then we're done."

Sierra rolled her eyes and raised her head, "Wonderful."

I worked on her chest some more and I said, "I'm sorry you went through all that for me. I should have helped."

Sierra shook her head, "Well you would have died if you fought against the bastard with me. And besides that I had rough scruffs before, I'll be fine."

I frowned at her, "Let me guess, with all the drakes you have dated and mated with? One of them got into a fight with you?"

Sierra nodded, "Well one of them is an asshole and we're not together anymore. So yeah I have been through this thing before. At least he didn't mortally wound me back then."

I smiled at her, "Glad to hear that, I guess." Then I was done putting the last stich on her chest. I said, "All done."

Sierra got off her stomach and on her feet. She sighed, "About damn time."

I laughed, "Sierra, quit being a hatchling."

Sierra shot a glare down at me, "I'm not a hatchling."

I shot back, "Then quit complaining."

Sierra rolled her eyes, "Whatever you little bastard." Then she lowered her body to the ground, "You ready to go yet? I want to get to the bottom of this. I want some officers to investigate this. Find out who left the dragon city."

I shrugged, "Sounds good to me." Then I whirled around and got my bag that I've gotten from the burning house. My knife and my photo of me and Joanna are in the bag. I carried the bag over my shoulder and walked to Sierra. I grabbed her wing joint and hurled my leg over her back. Now I was sitting on her back, ready for flight.

I asked Sierra, "You sure you can fly now?"

Sierra looked over her shoulder and nodded, "Yes. My wings are not hurt from the fight, so I'm great." Then she looked straight ahead and she started to flap her wings.

We started to fly off the ground, I wrapped my arms around her neck. My legs tucked in, and soon we were over the trees. Then with a burst of speed we started to fly forward. On our way back to the dragon city.

*****

Me and Sierra got back to the dragon city several hours later and now we are talking to one of the dragon officers in armor, at the motel. He's male and he has yellow scales. He asked, "And you didn't provoke him in anyway?"

Sierra shook her head while me and her are close together, "No, he attacked us first. He just shown up out of nowhere and he just started attacking us."

I said, "He really wanted to kill us."

The officer cocked his head, "And you have no idea what his name was?"

Sierra narrowed her eyes at the officer, "No, he didn't say his name."

The officer glared at her, "You better not give me attitude lady, I'm trying to help."

Sierra shot at him, "Don't call me lady. And if you're trying to help, do your investigating already! We already told you everything."

The officer shook his head, "I'm sorry, but without a name I can't investigate who attacked you and your human, I'm sorry."

Sierra said, "Sorry doesn't cut it. That bastard attacked Wayne. And if he has friends, I'll kill them all for planning to kill Wayne."

The officer's face went wide, "Wow...You're really serious about this, are you?"

Sierra said, "Would you want to protect someone you care about?"

The officer nodded, "Yes and I'm still sorry for what you went through. Without a name, there's nothing we can do. We wouldn't know where he lived in the city and all that."

Sierra sighed and nodded, "I know."

The officer said to us, "But thank you for telling me all this and take care of yourselves. And I promise, if I hear something from another dragon in the city, I'll investigate it. Just don't hold your breath." And with that he whirled around and left the room.

We both just stood there and we both sighed. I muttered, "Well that didn't work out as planned."

Sierra muttered, "I figured they couldn't do anything. We didn't know the dragon's name."

I looked up at her and said, "Sierra...Why would the dragon attack us?"

She looked down at me and shook her head, "I don't know, Wayne. I don't know."

I closed my eyes and sighed again, "Well at least we're safe and sound."

Sierra and I walked to the pile of furs and I sat down on them and Sierra laid down on her stomach, she said, "I guess."

That's when Amanda, Neal, Cody, and Sierra's uncle came into our motel room and saw us. With smiles on their faces.

Me and Sierra smiled at them and Sierra said, "Hello everyone."

Cody got close to us and sat down on his haunches and said, "We heard you guys came back and we decided to just come over and say hi. Great to see you guys again."

I grinned at Cody, "Buddy, we weren't gone that long. We were only gone for ONE damn day."

Cody nodded and giggled, "Yeah I know. But it just feels lonely in this city without you guys."

Sierra said, "Figured as much."

That's when Amanda's eyes went wide when she saw the stiches on Sierra's chest and gasped, "Jesus Sierra, what happened to you?!"

Sierra knew what she was talking about and she waved her off with her paw, "It's alright, Amanda. Nothing to worry about."

Amanda exclaimed, "Nothing to worry about?! It looked like someone attacked you!"

Neal had a worried look on his face, "What happened Sierra?"

Sierra sighed, "Some dragon must have followed me and Wayne outside the city and he tried to kill us. He also tried to kill his family as well. But maybe he came from some land nearby Wayne's home, I don't know."

Neal asked, "Why?"

I shook my head, "We have no idea. He just attacked us."

Neal rolled his eyes and sighed, "You just couldn't stay out of trouble, could you? Even when I told you guys before you left the city to stay out of trouble."

I playfully narrowed my eyes at him, "Shut up."

Sierra's uncle asked, "But you are okay, right?"

Sierra nodded, "Yes uncle. Just a few scratches."

I said, "But god you should've been there! That son of a bitch tried to blow fire at me. He even tried to burn down the house I've lived in with me and my family in it!"

Cody gasped, "He did that?!" I nodded at Cody and Cody had an angry look and grumbled, "That asshole."

I grinned at him, "My thoughts exactly."

Amanda went to Sierra and wrapped her arms around her neck, "God mom, I'm really worried about you now."

Sierra started to caress Amanda's back with her paw and said, "He was an asshole, but he wasn't tough. I just killed him right away."

Amanda muttered while she buried her face into Sierra's neck, "I don't want you to go through all that. I don't want to lose you."

Sierra shook her head, "You won't lose me. I promise."

Sierra's uncle smiled at them and said, "That's really sweet Sierra. A human girl calling you mother. You never had a hatchling before."

Sierra looked at her uncle and said, "Amanda is as close to a daughter I ever will have."

Amanda finally pulled herself away from Sierra and backed away from her. Amana grinned at her, "I'm sorry about that."

Sierra shook her head and smiled, "It's alright."

Cody grinned at Sierra and said, "Well at least those scars would look good on your chest."

Sierra looked at Cody and said, "Well young dragon, when you're as old as me and when you get bigger, you will get scars just like me and Neal here."

Cody beamed, "Sweet! Scars would make me look tougher."

I giggled, "Just don't get scars on your face. They would make you look bad."

Cody nodded, "I'll keep that in mind."

Neal cocked his head when Amanda came near him, "Did you know who it was that tried to kill you? Did you know the name?"

Sierra shook her head, "No, like we said he just attacked us. We didn't have time for a suitable conversation."

Neal had an angry look on his face, "Well I'm an officer too. And if I ever find out who it was and if he was working with someone, I'll make his friends pay."

Amanda touched Neal's neck, she looked worried, "Neal."

Neal looked at her and sighed. He nuzzled Amanda, "Sorry, didn't mean to make you feel worried."

Cody cocked his head at us, "So what are you going to do now?"

Sierra sighed, "I guess nothing. Lets just hope Wayne here doesn't get into anymore trouble than he already has been."

I gestured to Amanda, "Or her. Remember guys she's human too."

Neal growled, "If anyone hurts her, I'll kill them myself." Amanda then hugged Neal around his neck.

Sierra's uncle had a worried look on his face and said, "Well I hope you humans don't attract trouble."

I nodded, "I agree with you there. Because as of right now. It feels like it's the calm before the storm."

*****

Night came at Neal's house and Neal and Amanda are laying together on the pile of furs in the house in front of the big stone fireplace. Neal's paw caressing Amanda's arm while she was laying against his chest.

Neal sighed and Amanda looked up at him, "What's wrong big guy? Still worked up about Sierra?"

Neal nodded, "Yeah...I mean, Sierra's my best friend and I wasn't there with her. I didn't go with her and Wayne to his home. This is all my fault."

Amanda reached up to touch his chin, "It's not your fault, Neal. Some things are way beyond your control."

Neal nodded and looked down at her, "I know. But if I ever find out who it was, I'm gonna find his friends, if he had any and kill them all. I won't tolerate this bullshit."

Amanda sighed, "Yeah, but I hope you don't get into trouble while you're at it. I mean, I don't want you hurt. I...I don't want to be alone again."

Neal lowered his head to her level and smiled at her, "You won't be alone again. And if anyone hurts you, I'll make them go through so much pain, they would want to plummet themselves to the earth."

Amanda's eyes went wide and she giggled, "You're pretty devious, you know that?"

Neal licked her nose, "Don't see why not." Then they both kissed each other on the lips, deeply. Their mouths adjusting themselves. She put her hands to both sides of Neal's face.

Amanda pulled away from his face and is now staring in his eyes. She smiled at him and said, "Hey look, I'm going for a walk."

Neal asked, "Do you want me to go with you?"

Amanda let go of his face and shook her head, "No, I want to walk alone. I just want some alone time."

Neal deviously grinned at her, "And what am I suppose to do while you're gone?"

Amanda deviously grinned back at him, "I'm sure you'll think of something."

Neal laughed, "Wow, never thought you have a dirty mind, girl."

Amanda playfully smacked his nose, but not hard, "Don't call me girl, or I'll kick your eggs big guy." Then they both laughed. And Amanda got up away from him. She stretched out her arms and looked back at him, "I'll be back later, ok?"

Neal nodded, "Alright, but stay out of trouble."

Amanda smiled at him and said, "I love you."

Neal stared lovingly at her, "I love you too."

*****

The mayor of the dragon city and the male black dragon are inside the abandoned stone building together.

The mayor swiped his paw across the black dragon's snout and he cried out in pain.

The mayor snarled, his wings flaring, "YOU FUCKING FAILURE!!!"

The black dragon rubbed his snout with his paw and pleaded, "Hold on a second. I didn't know what was going to happen and I-"

The mayor shouted, "I told you to go with your blue friend and follow the blue dragoness and her human friend out of the city and you didn't! You two were suppose to kill them together!!"

The black dragon's face went wide, "But I thought he could handle it. I mean, come on she's a dragoness. Females are not that tough."

The mayor snarled, "YOU IDIOT!!!" Then he swiped across the snout again. The black dragon cried out once more.

The black dragon glared at the mayor, "Look boss I said I was sorry, what more do you want?"

The mayor snarled, "How about that you do what I tell you to do and stick to the plan from now on!!!"

The black dragon held out his paw, "Boss don't scream, someone might hear you."

The mayor dragged his claws across the stone floor, leaving marks and snarled, "And look what happened! The blue dragoness and her friend are still alive and you want to know what happened? What I think? It's because they killed your stupid blue friend and that means the plan didn't go well as planned! They came back to the city ALIVE!!"

The mayor narrowed his eyes at his black comrade, "And do you know what that means? That means I won't start this war. The blue dragoness would probably say she was attacked and she killed your blue friend just to defend herself! All the dragons wouldn't think that the humans killed a dragon outside the city, they wouldn't think that the humans killed him! That was the point, to make everyone think that the humans killed the dragoness outside the city and she's not dead! Do you understand the severity of the plan? Without the support of all the citizens of dragon city, WE WON'T WAGE WAR AGAINST THE FUCKING HUMANS!!!"

The black dragon looked down in shame and said, "I'm sorry boss. I should have went with him and now he's dead." Then he looked at the mayor and had a determined look, "But that won't happen again."

The mayor nodded, "You better be right." Then they both heard a noise nearby.

The mayor and the black dragon looked in the direction of the noise and the mayor asked without looking at him, "Did someone follow you?"

The black dragon shook his head, "I don't think so. Lets check it out." The two dragons went to the noise and around the corner saw a human female. Her eyes went wide.

Both the dragon's faces went wide. The mayor glared down at her and hissed.

The human female said, "Uh...Hi guys." She backed away from them, until her back's against the wall.

The mayor lowered his head to her level, "You must be the human female, Amanda right?"

Amanda nodded, "Uh...Yes."

The mayor asked, "How long have you been standing here?"

Amanda just stuttered, "Uh...Uh..." She trailed off.

The black dragon glared at her and said, "She knows. Damn it, she must have heard you screaming."

The mayor sighed, "Well such a pity. This wasn't suppose to be that way."

Amanda pleaded and held out her hands, "Ok listen, I never heard anything. If you let me go, I won't tell anyone."

The mayor glared at her, "Oh yes you will. You'll tell that human male Wayne and his blue dragoness friend. After all, humans always stick together and so would the dragons who are friends with them."

Amanda just stared at the mayor and shook her head, "Look you don't need to start a war against us. I mean, why would you do this to us? Why do you want to fight my kind?"

The mayor shouted, "Shut up you little bitch!" And with that Amanda gasped and she covered her face with her hands.

The black dragon said, "What do we do boss? Kill her? She'll tell if she runs off."

The mayor grinned deviously at her and said, "Kill her? Maybe, or maybe I have something in mind for her. Maybe to teach humanity a thing or two. To not screw with my kind."

Amanda uncovered her face and with her pleading eyes she pleaded, "No! No please, NO!"
