Job Search Tip 110: Is the Company LGBTQIA+ Inclusive?
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
It has become difficult to research inclusive companies due to recent activities of the executive branch. Still, you can ask employees or the queer community for insight.
The corporate equality index may help with big companies and you could look for your local LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce.

Let me know if you have any LGBTQIA+ related job searching questions. My goal is to have a LGBTQIA+ focused tip each week in the month of June. I cannot help with employment related questions because that dips into employment law and I am not an attorney.
Job coaching slots are open!!! Drop me a message if you are interested.

"It is difficult to know if a company is LGBTQIA+ inclusive. Review their website for an inclusion statement, reach out to employees for their perspective, or look at national watchdog lists. The most direct thing you can do is to ask during the interview. Just remember that the interviewer may have a personal bias for or against LGBTQIA+."
