The Edge
Humans and their relentless pursuit of progress have brought them here, to the edge of their very own existence. They broke down their spirit; they uncovered all the mysteries of their inner workings, only to abuse this knowledge to cannibalize each other in a desperate bid for meaning.
This piece is part of the world-building project I've started, which is actually more of a visual motif with a few lore bits tucked here and there.
I know this one is quite off-the-line, but there is a reason for that. I initially envisioned this world-building thing as an excuse to paint some of my favorite things together: lizards and machines. But then Dan Terminus dropped a new album. Dan is one of the greatest inspirations for my work; it may not be evident, but it has been since the beginning. This new album felt like a distilled concentration of all of the ideas lingering in my head that haven't made it to the surface yet. So that's a complete change of direction for this project.

This thing is also a very experimental piece that didn't really end up as I would have liked, but still, I loved making it. That's going to become a recurring thing for this project from now on. I want to use this project to experiment and try new things; they may not always work, and the writing might end up being dumb. I don't care, because I love making this stuff.
