QuetzaDrake's 2013 Commission Price Guide!
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Please try to at least skim all of the important info below before sending a commission request.
I know I get pretty talky with these but you should know exactly what you're getting and how to get it before trying to do so, thanks!
~COMMISSION TYPES~
(Herein lies elaboration of the main types of commissions I'm now offering!)
Binary-Style:
So-called for the tool used to draw the lineart, a very cartoony and simple style with flat colors and no shading. Backgrounds are very simple and minimalistic. Simple and short looping animations are available with this style, and the price for this option varies depending on complexity.
Examples: https://www.sofurry.com/view/566340
http://www.sofurry.com/view/535806
Chibi-Style:
A still-cartoonish and simple style, but more detailed and reliant on realistic anatomy than the Binary-Style and uses a vector pen instead. Includes basic cel-shading and highlights. Same style that's used for Chibi badges. Backgrounds would still be simple and minimalistic, but slightly more detailed. No animation option is available for this style.
Examples: http://www.sofurry.com/view/535791 (sorta NSFWish)
http://www.sofurry.com/view/535790 (sorta NSFWish)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8426729/ (examples are badges, but still use same style)
Full-Style:
The large and non-cartoony style with tons more detail and such. Vector pen lineart, cel-shading, realistic anatomy, large resolution, all that kinda stuff. Backgrounds are more detailed and complex. WARNING: Soft shading, a more paint-like shading technique, is available as an option, but it's still experimental, subject to variance between pieces, and shouldn't be considered reliable, consistent, or guaranteed to look great. If you request soft shading, you understand this caveat and agree to take that risk!

Badges:
Badge commissions that were done for Anthrocon 2012 and 2013 are still available as an option if you so desire! Details on the two types of badges, as well as the process for getting them, are all available HERE, so please click that link to find out how to get one of those if you're interested!
And, as the Note says above, other miscellaneous options you can think of could potentially be done if you specifically request them. If I agree to the request, details on price, complexity, and such would all be actively negotiated with you until a fair compromise is made. However, I also reserve the right to refuse these types of requests at any stage of said negotiation, whether from the beginning or somewhere in the middle, until the commission idea is 100% agreed upon and put in a slot in the queue. Once I've 100% agreed to your idea and we've come to a compromise, it's set in stone and will be completed.
~COMMISSIONING PROCESS~
(How to get one of these things from me is listed below!)
First, please contact me either through email ( quetzadrake.com ) or through the Notes/PM system of whatever site you're currently using (preferably FA) about your commission. Please include the following information when you request your commission:
Site and Username: (fill this in if using email, ex. FurAffinity, QuetzaDrake)
Commission Style and Options: (what style you want your commission to be, ex. Binary-Style, no background, animation; Full-Style, background, no soft shading)
Reference Image(s): (please include at least one good reference image of the character(s) to be featured, more is preferable; if you have no pictures, give a REALLY thorough description of them so I don't have to constantly ask if I'm missing something or getting something wrong)
Description of Commission: (what you want the commission to be; again, please try to be as thorough as possible in your description if you want specifics, so that I don't waste time asking for more info or needing to correct something unmentioned before)
Once you send this info to me, I'll review it and we'll hammer out details if necessary. When all is agreed upon, I'll put you in the queue. Once your slot's up, I'll do a basic sketch and send it to you for your approval to make sure everything like posing's to your liking. After you approve the sketch, I'll ask for payment. Payment is to be sent via Paypal to . Please include some way to indicate who you are when you pay, either via an attached Note or within the Title or Description of the payment, so that I can identify that it was you who paid!
Once payment's been received, I'll continue your commission. Binary-Style and Chibi-Style will be worked on until completion and the finished product will be sent to you; minor changes may be made upon request, but for the most part these commissions are done at this stage. Full-Style will be given lineart, which will then be sent to you for further approval on the more specific details. Once the lineart is approved, the commission'll be worked on to completion and then sent to you. Minor changes may be requested at this stage, but major revisions will most likely be unavailable.
TL;DR:
1.) Send above form to me via Email or Art Site PM/Note
2.) Put in queue, sketch done when slot comes up
3.) Sketch sent for approval, payment requested when approved
4.) When payment is received, if Binary/Chibi, final product sent; if Full, lineart sent for approval
5.) Final product sent after lineart approval, everybody happy
~TERMS OF SERVICE STUFF~
(What you agree to when you commission me and junk!)
What You CAN'T Request:
I will refuse commissions involving gore, snuff, scat, and physically-underage characters in sexual situatons (underage characters will be bumped up to legal age if you want them drawn). I also reserve the right to refuse any other ideas for any reason. You may also not request another person's character or idea without their explicit permission (and no, I won't ask them for you).
What You CAN Request:
Pretty much anything else. Any other suggested concept, provided I don't use the above-mentioned right to refuse it, is acceptable, including other fetishes, my own characters (FH characters bumped to age 18), others' characters you have permission to have drawn for you, and so forth. If you're unsure if your idea would be acceptable to me, don't be afraid to ask, I'm pretty open for the most part.
I Have The Right...:
-...to post the commission on any site I use and/or own.
-...to use the commission in advertisements, portfolios, and/or whatever other purposes I may find for it as an example of my work.
-...to edit or alter your commission for my own purposes post-completion. (Note: This will never be done to maliciously deface or slander your character(s).)
-...to use it for personal money-making purposes if the commission is exclusively of my own characters (ex. making it a print to be sold).
You Have The Right...:
-...to post the commission to any site you use and/or own, provided you credit me as the artist.
-...to use the commission as an example of your character(s) and/or others' character(s).
-...to have edits and alterations done to the commission by yourself or another artist, provided that I am credited as the original artist.
-...to have it printed or made into a physical format for personal use. (You DO NOT have the right to have it printed to be sold, even if it has been altered by another artist.)
~MISC. STUFF~
If you have any questions or whatever, feel free to talk to me about it wherever. Again, I'd really appreciate you read through all that stuff up above if you intend on commissioning me, as I'd like the process to be as smooth as possible for the both of us, and if you ask me something that's already explained here, you'll look pretty silly and waste valuable time!
Also, I request that you please be patient while I work on your commission. I'll be looking for a full-time job within the next 30 days and, combining that with my big weekly webcomic, it may take some time for me to get to your commission. I just ask for your patience and apologize in advance if you are frustrated or disappointed by any long waiting periods.
I know I get pretty talky with these but you should know exactly what you're getting and how to get it before trying to do so, thanks!
