Scouts like Orchid here live for the opportunity to discover forgotten ruins, gain ancient knowledge, and assess the threat level of regions where expeditions will soon survey. Over the past decade, however... more and more scouts and even entire expedition teams have gone out to areas originally thought safe, and never returned. Something is out there that wasn't before, and amidst circuit-inlaid ruins that have stood for millennia, the unknown grows ever more mystifying.

As the wilderness closes in on the few bastions of civilization still standing, the task of a scout is more important than ever to help determine what's out there, and find clues as to why expeditions continue to get swallowed up.

It seems Orchid might have stumbled upon a one such clue...
