Time To Die
Not much to say about this. I was adamant about a first-person perspective looking down a gun barrel. I was sure that the hand would obscure Giffard's eyes as the barrel is aligned with his forehead. I wanted to be precise on that. What stumped me was an overhead view, which I sought. I wanted there to be some shading as the moment is at night.
I drew the hand, arm, gun, and head with a pencil. Most of it was erased in the colouring process. I used a regular pen and a fountain pen. Coloured with pencil crayons, markers, watercolour pencils, and a wet brush. I was drinking coffee and eating and sandwich and a banana. I listened to Evanescence: Synthesis. This was drawn on the afternoon of Sept 2, 2021. On this, I spent 88 minutes, start-to-finish.
