A Light in the Dark
The idea for this commission had been in my head ever since the second BotW2 trailer dropped - it just took me a while to find a good artist. It was the first idea that I had a really detailed plan for, especially when several of my past ideas needed pose revamps during the initial phases because I wasn't clear enough - so much so this time that the first person I asked basically told me I was being an oppressive twat. X-D
Anyway, after seeing that trailer, I had to adapt my blue arm to the curse/charm/enchantment/possession/whatever it is that happens to Link in BotW2! Instead of having those metal bands with ancient energy glow lines, I envisioned the enchantment lifting those tiger stripes right off to create a bit of a floating cage, and the blue fur that's been cursed dark grey instead manifests as that blue spiritual glow down the new "bands". The outfit then was intended to be my costume from before (https://www.sofurry.com/view/928611) adapted to Link's new ancient-style outfit, though iterating with WolfguideTL made me realize some of the brighter OoT-style Hylian colors just didn't work as much. X-D
I absolutely LOVE the final piece here! And it's great to have a LoZ spiritual successor to my Light Arrow piece linked above. (I'll also post a more daylight version of the piece to better show off the character design WolfGuideTL did here)
