Scratchie Scratch
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Zheradra hated spring. Insects buzzed all around, and the pestering fluff of the poplars sailing upon the winds always seemed to find her sensitive frills. No matter the various ways in which she folded them, or the rigorous shake of her head, that bothersome itch never seemed to go away.
A throaty growl rumbled in her throat as she finally dropped onto her haunches, leaning her weight against her forelegs to give her raised hind leg more control. She lifted it as high as comfort allowed, then inched her head closer to her claws to gently rub her frills against while her toes remained stiff and still. This way, she never accidentally grazed the sensitive, leathery surface of her frills, and the slow, back and forth motions of her head gave her all the control she needed.
Her irritated rumble soon smoothed into a satisfied purr, her eyelids draping over her eyes in glowing satisfaction at dispelling that bothersome, itchy sensation. Her wings unfurled halfway to help her balance as she found herself entranced by what her claws achieved, her tail tip involuntarily twitching every time they slid across the length of her frills.

I have commissioned Ghuran to draw Zheradra in a cute pose, and oh boy, did she deliver! Those frills must certainly itch every now and then, and a tender scratch goes a long way. Another thing I enjoy is her expression of utter contentment. How adorable!
Oh and, I'll probably start writing some descriptive paragraphs in a story-like fashion for certain arts, because they seem more engaging than just posting a picture and that's it. Plus, I am a writer after all.
