Here Again
Damn, this was frustrating. Just getting the figures themselves was hard. I originally wanted to showcase a part of the actual fight, having Death's Khopeshes locked with Vadimir's cane. I couldn't get the figures right without making the weapons look far from each other. Neither could I have the weapons aligned without making the figures abysmally disproportionate. In both cases, the moment looked tame to me. I wanted this to also contrast with "The Duality of Assassin's", making Death's face be the own shown, but I also wanted a hint of Vadimir growling.
This was drawn on the afternoon of 24 Jan, 2020. My first picture of the year. I drew only the figures with pencil, most of which I erased in the colouring process. Inked with a fountain pen and black-velvet ink. Coloured using pencil crayons, markers, watercolour pencils, and a wet brush. I drank tea and ate an apple and cookies. I listened to Epica: The Quantum Enigma. On this, I spent 93 minutes, start-to-finish.
