Prof. Nelly
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
After 21+ hours and across 16 days later...
I have finished this piece. And good lord, I am so glad I didn't get burnt out by this. This was purely experimental. So it will be too cluttered and busy.
I've thought about updating an old "mascot" I drew around late 2022. I've been meaning to get to that for a while now. But as usual, work and procrastination double-teamed on me. I didn't enjoy it at all. But lately, I've been feeling like my avatar (Rutherford) was becoming too much of a mascot for my liking. So I finally got around to drawing this boy. And oh boy, this was a fun ride.
Now where to begin...
The appearance. I wanted something recognizable but at the same time appealing to me. The conclusion of making it a plushie came out of the left field while I was browsing to look for references. A few tries into the body's proportions later. I turned to Zootopia's style to see if I could replicate it. Spoilers, I had a headache. While I was translating the meager scraps of proper anatomical knowledge I'd learned over six months. Still very much pleased with the final results.
I had to constantly bother my friends for feedback on the perspectives for the arm. I should apologize to them again!
Now for the background...
I hate and love it. Hating the process and loving the results. I had to teach myself some stuff to get the results I wanted. It was fun. My poor phone was stuttering as I was putting on the finishing touches.
I should get a proper tablet. And a stylus. My fingers were numb after making the background.
But other than that brief glimpse of my suffering.
Behold! The new face of my accounts.
Prof. Nelly!
