Just your odd, local fuzzy-type! My current main fursona is an Al-Mir'aj... though Amy Gotcha is one of my favorites.

What's an Al-Mir'aj?
It's kinda the Persian version of a unicorn: a little yellow bunny with a long spiraling horn growing from it's forehead. However, this little bunny is fiercely territorial and dangerous! It has been noted to be able to run faster than a horse, to be able to kill a man with one or two stabs of hits horn, and when it's done, it devours it's prey whole! Despite this bizarre ferocity, apparently it's depicted in poetry as a "cheerful", delightful creature...

Anyway, back on subject- art stuff! =^.^= I've been drawing and writing for years, but know there's always room to grow. Thanks for all your feedback- every bit is appreciated and why I joined- feedback is useful! Feel free to drop me a line to say hi, leave comments, make suggestions or ask questions!

===Now for an important rant ===

Artists! Want to get better votes from me and others? Here's a few tips...

  1. CLEAN YOUR WORK UP!
That means no notebook paper lines, no sketch marks, and nice, clean lines (no "computer-sketchy " lines!). Failure to clean your work denotes laziness and is not the mark of a good artist! If you want tricks for removing the notebook paper lines quickly and easily, or other clean up tips, mail me. I'm more than happy to help out. :)

  2. Study anatomy!
That means limbs, proportions and more. If all else fails, find humans in similar positions and use the pictures as a reference! If someone thing looks "off" it won't get a good score.

  3. DON'T USE PAINT!
Paint is terrible for drawing, cleaning, and coloring! If you don't have a graphics program go get The Gimp at www.gimp.org! It's free, works beautifully (all my photomorphs are done in Gimp!), and has tons of tutorials! The VCL swears by it, and the VCL is one of the oldest and most exclusive Furry archives, so you know it can't be half bad. ;)

  4. Learn to SHADE!
There are countless tutorials on how to shade a picture so there is no excuse for flat colors (except in Art Deco and colorblock styles, but most furry artists don't use those). Having no shading is just as lazy as not cleaning your picture and will result in lower ratings.

  5. If it's crap to you, it's probably crap to me, too
If you are embarrassed to post something, rework it and then post it. :) You'll be happier and we will too!
with just a little time and effort, you can be great! Keep at it and thanks for listening!
