Better than you think
So, I found this artist here on twitter who does these amazing "Old Me Vs. Now Me" commissions and I just had to get one of me, especially since I'd been wanting to get some pics of Ash as a pup for a while now.
Yeah, I kind of got emotional when this commission finally got finished. It's crazy looking back at myself before I officially joined the fandom, when I was just a lurker on FA. I was so shy then, so worried about what people might think of me if I were to put myself out there, and so unsure of myself in terms of my inner talents and want to write. And I compare it to how I am now, and I'm so much more confident in what I want to do, I have more friends from across the globe than I've ever could have dreamed of having, and I've gotten to travel all across the country to cons and have fun. It's been quite a journey getting here, and sometimes I kind of wish I could go back in time for just a few minutes just to give my younger self some advice that I really wish someone had given me at that age.
I might end up writing a short story based on this, though I'm not sure who's perspective I'll write it from, young Ash, or old Ash? Meh, I've got time to decide. It'd be really interesting to write. Anyway, you should totally see if you could get one of these from the artist's twitter I linked above, I might get another one for my fursuit character Lucius, I kind of thought of a more comedic one to do with him...
