Stalking Dragon by Paldreamer (Commission)
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
This commission was drawn by paldreamer! You can check it out in their gallery here. They've drawn such a focused, intent, predatory Hueroc, it really makes you fear for whoever that gaze has locked onto! He looks so good, too, the mountainside with the scenery behind him is such a fantastic scene~
It didn't seem right for a creature that large to move that smoothly or that silently. Hueroc flowed down the face of the mountain like water, every motion smooth and certain, his paws always seeming to know just where to place themselves despite his eyes never dropping to the terrain, never leaving the intruder he now stalked. He was deceptively fast, as well: the motions only looked slow relative to his size, for when one dragon stride covered so much distance he could go from a distance away to right on top of you in moments! His lifted wings and swinging tail kept him balanced, and his lips drew back only subtly, exposing the very tips of his longest fangs.
He growled.
A warning, and likely the only one such an unwelcome visitor would receive, rumbling from his great scaled form like a distant avalanche. He'd approached near as quickly as one, and with all those claws dug in for his next move, bright yellow eyes slit-pupiled in the light and staring intently, every element of his posture warns that there is only one acceptable response: to turn, and go, and hope not to be pursued. Staying there, daring to approach further, those are risks you really ought not to take...
Maybe he'll roar and give chase for a few steps anyway. Just to make certain the lesson is learned, and his territory is left alone.
