cFO's Fursona
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
It's been quite a long while since I've drawn anything at all, perhaps three years if I had to choose a timeframe. Still, a lot of furs have been bugging me about seeing my fursona so I decided to take up the trade once more.
This little gender-fluid girly-guy otter is still a bit conceptual, as I have a vision in my head and need to work out the tangible details over time. For those wondering, the 'fins' of fur on the tail and arms as well as the boundaries between the counter-shading of the fur are a very close analog to fibre optik lighting strandules. Carbon has the ability to color and pattern them at will but they subconsciously attune to his mood. His flesh is a slightly-glowing 'Lambo Green' as well as his eyes, and the edges of his irises glow like his fur too.
The program used for this was entirely Procreate on a New iPad (Gen 3). I'm still getting used to using said application and the lack of pressure sensitivity in my stylus, but I think the flat colors came out well. It's a lot like a Cintique tablet without the size, weight, hassle, or expense. :3 Procreate as well as other apps support sonic pens for pressure ability, so we'll see where that goes and if I buy one, but due to general restrictions on layer controls expect sketches and flat-color works from the iPad. More painterly works still seem to require my full tablet and PC.
Meh, I'm ranting. Enjoy the pic! More to come in time!
