There is a moment

In which time may go

First it moves oh so fast

And then it moves so very slow


The experience of life

A pain, knife in the heart

A wounding so deep
Love is ripped, shredded, torn apart

When you want to fight 
For something so dear
But you know it's a lonely battle
Leaving you teared and in fear

The feeling and experience
When you love someone
That leaves you for another
And no longer can you belong as one

When nothing matters anymore
Any words you may say
When you are easily replaced
And all the world turns gray

You may ask yourself
How can someone turn
After living, loving together for so long
Just leave the present, to crash and burn

The other side of the bed
As empty as your heart
Do you grasp at those shadows
Trying to reach your missing part?

Shadows haunt you around your home
And even in those moments, wherever you may roam
Sending your energy down the drain
Oh how love can turn in this type of pain

Of pain and of love to be
