That's the philosophy of the Deathclaw Kin. If you no longer need it then why get so mad if it's escorted away? Unfortunately humans don't see it that way. Especially in a post nuclear set up where everything can be useful. It could be scrap, a spare weapon, anything. So there's going to be conflict when a kin decides that these egg-shaped things are useful elsewhere.
