You know how it is. The little dragons shred all the wrapping paper with their claws, open the boxes, wag their tails and rawr and bat their shiny special Christmas gifts about for a few minutes... and then for the rest of the day they're having more fun with the boxes their gifts came in than you'd even begun to hope they might have with the gifts themselves. The boxes are so fun and so cozy! A dragon hops in and suddenly it's a lair to get comfy in, it's a hoard to guard, a car to ride in, whatever their ambitious dragon imaginations can conjure! Turn it on its side and it's something to dive into after pretend prey, to see how far you can make it slide across the floor, or just to crash into and see what sort of ruckus can be caused...

Yeah, they might make a bit of a mess, and yeah, they're going to be roaring at each other all day, but that's Christmas, right?

Or any other day with a household of dragons, I suppose.

At least for now they're not fighting over the boxes--well, not fighting more than the usual play, at least. Yes, Hueroc's batting at Ashar's tail. Yes, Adhara is trying to grab Hueroc's tail, and then she'll bite it and then he'll bite back and hopefully his cozy box will discourage them from much more than that. And yes, I'm sure Ashar's not stuck. Look, as long as their paws are batting at each other and not at the Christmas ornaments, that's a victory. Energetic dragons sure are a handful.

Hey I saw that! No fire in the house!
