Daily little dragon companion
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
So.. BlackAures revived something back from the early 2000s. Those little, annoying companions that wiggle over your screen, attack your mouse and try to get your attention... but with a twist! It's our own characters!
I was really struggling with thinking of a way to show it off here since it's a program. Of course I could take a screencapture, but I can't upload it to here and it might be too long for someone to really watch. While I had another idea, it was a bit hard to realize for me. There are still images in the program that it animates itself when it needs them, so I needed to make transparent gifs with timing out of them... Don't ask how long I took for them to really animate together, all in one image at a time... Just.. don't ask. I might know a few things here and there but let me tell you... After Effects and GIFs don't work well together...
It might not show every animation and not the actual use of it, but BlackAures Over Here, showed it off quite well in the linked videos in their description.
So Shadow walks, jumps and flies over all my three screens, trying to chase the mouse cursor. Even attacking it and open windows from time to time, while interrupting his game from time to time to eat, sleep and clean his wings. With every full hour he tells me the time and... He even shouts threats at me! Just like the real Shadow! I just love it!
Well yeah, it sometimes might annoy me, when it attacks the cursor while I'm playing a game and right when aiming at someones head to land a good shot, the mouse just vibrates completely all over the screen, but... that's life living with a small virtual dragon that really wants your attention but you can just make him stop, opening up the settings menu and just leaving it open as that pauses him, but psssh... don't let him know or he might find a way around that too D:
