Painted Gas Mask: Quietfire Version 2
A reprise that sings alongside the quietest of fires. Stego gave this hooded KG1 an overhaul, while solving a change of fit in the wearer. The first part was breakdown, including revising elements of the EL lighting. It involved destruction of the paint job, and I cant tell you how hard that was for us.
It was up to me to recreate the look of before, as our client was totally satisfied with the stripe shapes and arrangement around the hood. Armed with some bright colors, I created the lines. My 10.1 inch tablet and I got real close as I essentially "traced" by sight. I could only hope that my paint skill had gotten better. For the coloration, I got access to some UV pigments and Stego created a mixture that I could lay over the solids. I used a "furred lines" approach to the stripes, but trying to keep under control because this kind of detail was a total "less is more" thing. The pink eyebrows and nose got some UV paint strokes to carry on the enhancements. Along with the mohawk and optional EL lighting, Quietfire's mask is the ultimate project that filled my love tank. I was actually pleased with myself.
