Painted Gas Mask: Tiger
Stego and I have gone into letting customers have thier gasmask painted either from a custom character reference or a pre-existing creature. This process is something I mostly do (while Stego creates the actual mask form/mold itself). It can be daunting as this clearly is not done using brushes or airbrush guns.
With a bit of time, it was decided to feature this mask at the Califur 2008 Charity Art auction. This is the second most challenging one for me to paint, mainly because of the stripes layered atop the white markings. My reference was a tiger sculpture in our room. It went to a lucky furry fan who was also local to our area (no trying to get this into a suitcase).
