Once again, I was in my room, sitting around on my bed with my back against the wall behind me and being silent like I did earlier today. Only this time I was not alone. I had both dogs, Brendi and Tobey, laying with me. The female chihuahua was curled around up close to my waist, while Tobey, being the big boy that he is, was laying on his stomach at the foot of the bed with the bottom of my feet touching his side. Both of them were sound asleep, and I can hear one of them snoring.
I thought about what I learned outside again as my fear was climbing up my spine. I lost track of time, but earlier, right after I found the werewolf prints at the front of my house, and came to a terrifying conclusion, I was in a rush to get inside. But not before I threw the trash bag with the dead raccoon into the dumpster, and made a run for the backyard and got Tobey, since I know he wasn't safe being tied up back there right now. After that, I had both he and Brendi follow me up to my bedroom and stay with me, all of us safe and together.
But while sitting around, boy I did not feel safe.
I slowly put my gaze onto my bedroom window, seeing it was still day outside. My dogs were asleep, not having a care and worry. But me...As you can imagine...I was still scared. Actually worse than I was before. And it was all because of those pawprints. I thought I was safe during the day...But I was so wrong. I never expected it. But now I fear for the worse...The worse that could happen any time, both during day and night.
And it REALLY terrifies me.
I let out a breath, then glanced down to my left hand lying on the bed too. I was merely looking at it holding something. The threatening note I actually managed to grab ahold of before running off for Tobey. I didn't have to read it again to remember all the words that were written on it. They all stuck to my head. I frowned at it. I was no doubt scared, but I was also a little confused. I know how frightening the note was, but as I was thinking about it, it seemed unusual. Nothing like that happened in the werewolf movies I saw before. Usually werewolves just go off and kill people without a second thought.
But yet...There's this note, warning me and telling me to leave the woods for good.
Confusion had overshadowed my fear for the moment as I stared at the note still. I don't get it...They wanted to kill me before, but then this happens. Why would they deliver this note and the raccoon to my door and tell me to leave? I don't understand it. If they can turn as werewolves during daytime, why didn't they come over here while I was in the house earlier and try to kill me again already? They did this while I was gone. What are they waiting for? They probably did that to put more fear into me, which that worked well, but still...
I stared at Tobey, then at Brendi beside me, and I started to pet her across her back. I do understand one thing...All of us have to get out of this house before the monsters run out of patience and then follow through with their warning. We have to leave these woods.
But the problem standing in the way of that is...Mom.
I thought about her as I still sat around. Mom still hasn't returned home ever since I wounded up in my room with the dogs. Good for her for now considering. But she won't stay away from here forever. Gotta get home sometime. I did think about when she did get home. I figured that the werewolf prints I found at the front yard would have been good proof to prove to her that werewolves exist, but then I thought about what she would be saying when she saw them.
She would probably dismiss my claim and be saying to me, 'oh they're just big coyote prints or dog prints, now cut the crap'. I can see her face and hear her voice already.
I sighed, eyes dropping to my chest, the feeling of dread rising up inside me. What the hell am I gonna do? We'll never get out of here. We'll all gonna end up dead if we don't!
What do I do? Lay around and let them kill us all?
Then, suddenly as I was thinking about my mom's life other than mine, my dread was being pushed down by something else.
Bravery.
I held a determined face when I lifted my chin up. No...I'm not going to do that. And I'm not going anywhere. I sucked in a breath and let it out as the new feeling settled in. I made a promise to myself three years ago. That I would stay and protect my mother from anything as long as I live. And not let her get hurt again. I'll do that, even protect her from the werewolves. I won't let that happen to us, mostly to her. And I don't care if we stay here anymore. I won't let a bunch of monsters intimidate me and run us out of here. If mom wants to stay here, fine, then I'll help her stay here, alive and well.
I'm gonna find a way to bring the truth to mom, and have her believe me, and...Who knows what would happen after that. Then I scrunched my face in thought. But how am I supposed to do that if I don't know who the werewolves are? They could be anybody...Even anyone I know. Who are they...And where do they live?
There's got to be some way of finding out.
All of a sudden, I had a thought about someone. The last person I talked to before I got home. A thoughtful hum welled up in my throat as I remembered something else from last night.
A werewolf grabbed me by the throat and lifted me off the ground, and I stabbed it in the eye, its right eye, before managing to escape from it. Then the next day, I find that Elias's right eye is wearing an eyepatch. I do know well that his eye wasn't wearing that yesterday before last night. It looked fine.
Could he be the...Werewolf I hurt last night? With his attitude towards people and me, he must be. I don't think his eye getting hurt after the day I first saw him was a coicidence. He's obviously the culprit. Other than showing up at the mansion and talking to his daughter, he's probably angry at me for doing that. I should have realized that the moment I looked at him. And judging by where he lives, it seems to make sense. A mansion in the middle of the woods. A perfect place for a werewolf to live.
I frowned as I put more thought into it. But if that's true, and I kinda think it is...Does that mean the rest of his family are werewolves too? And maybe Todd too, Cat's boyfriend? I mean there were a few other werewolves other than the one who lifted me off the freakin ground.
Is Cat...One of them as well?
I moaned in denial, shaking my head to myself. No...She's not one of them. She would never kill anybody. She wouldn't do anything like that. I know her. My brow wrinkled up. Or do I? I don't really know her all that well...
Come to think of it...Tobey did try to attack her one day for no reason. Maybe that was why he did it. Maybe he somehow figured that she was one of them and attacked her for it. And Cat admitted she was shy...But maybe there was more to why she was afraid of talking to strangers and run off.
But...Why would she talk to me, despite I was a stranger? I mean really? She told me why before, but now...I was thinking there's more to that too.
And I did come up with an idea about why she would start talking to me. She wanted something from me. I looked to my right, more confused than ever. But what? What would she want from me? A tiny apprehensive thought popped up in my head. Was she planning to...Make ME one of them? Turn me into a werewolf? Is that why she kept talking to me without running off? Did she see some kind of a potential in me of becoming a werewolf?
I groaned, hiding my face with my hand. Oh, I don't know anymore. Maybe she, Todd and her family, excluding her father, aren't werewolves at all. Maybe they know that he is and they're just protecting him. My hand flopped down onto my bed as my mind still ran with facts. But, they don't socialize with other people who don't live in the mansion all that much. I mean they act like they're a cult or something. And that still doesn't excuse the fact Tobey attacked Cat without obvious reason.
Arrr...I need some answers. I made a determined face. I need to know the truth. And I need iron-clad proof that werewolves exist too. That's when I shot my gaze to something sitting on top of my chest drawer. The birthday present I got from dad a long time ago. The film camera.
And I have an idea how to get it all.
And my idea starts...Tonight.
*****
As the night went on and crickets were chirping in the forest, I found the big, circular patch of dirt with multiple paths I came across earlier getting home that is now a bit illuminated by the bright moon in the dark sky. Ah, found it. I'm halfway there. While my left hand held the fireplace poker, my right hand with the flashlight was moving around and shining each dirt path I saw. Now to figure out which one that leads me to the mansion and use it. The flashlight beam quickly pointed at a certain one. It's this one, I think. I moved myself over the patch and was now strolling on that picked out path, heading, I hope, for Cat's mansion.
Hours had already went by and I was going through with my idea. I wasn't too scared like before right now. I was just flat-out determined that I'd find the truth and get the proof about werewolves existing. And I knew where to get that proof was at the mansion. I knew I had to sneak over to there and check things out...And take some pictures when I see something good, and then get home, or town if things get bad. That was the plan anyways. Nothing much to it. I heard something make a loud noise somewhere off the trail behind me, and I shot my gaze and the flashlight at it. I couldn't see, but it must've been a small creature running around there. I sighed, continuing my trek. Phew...The coast is still clear...
All day long, my plan was stuck inside my head. I didn't think much else. I even never said anything to my mom when she got home thirty minutes after I came up with the idea. I knew she wouldn't approve, she would probably say that I'd be stalking and that's illegal. But I didn't care if it was stalking...It was the only way I could think of to get some proof. My mother did not talk to me much either, except she did holler for me, asking where Tobey and Brendi were at. Well, she got her answer as I was bringing them out of my room. I felt like I didn't have to keep them close to me anymore. After mom found me with them, I left Brendi with her and took Tobey to the backyard and tied him up.
Since then, mom didn't say another word to me, and I never talked to her. I think after our conversation at the Country Cupboard she wasn't in the mood for another confrontation. I wasn't in the mood for it either, cause my mind was on about my idea. I just couldn't think about anything else but that. Throughout all that time, I just kept to myself, going on through the day as if it were just any other day, including that I did finally eat something for the first time today, and finally took the bandage off my cheek since I didn't feel that I needed it anymore.
I never wanted mom to know what I was doing when the time came for me to leave the house, which was at night. So I prayed that she would leave for work for nightshift, since she didn't go to work earlier in the day. And sure enough, my prayers have been answered, when I found later as things outside were getting close to dark that she was getting her uniform on and getting ready to leave for tonight. Before she left home, mom did, for the first time since the dog situation, say goodbye to me and told me to stay out of trouble.
Oh, I probably was gonna be in some kind of trouble tonight.
After watching my mother leave, I sprang into action, gathering what I need for my plan. I looked down while still walking on the trail, seeing the film camera dangling around my neck because of its strap. I grabbed that thing for starters, then my cell phone since I forgot to bring it with me the other night and wasn't bound to make that mistake again, a flashlight for me to see in the dark. Then I shot a quick glance at the fireplace poker in my hand. And a fireplace poker I got from near the fireplace in my house for use as a weapon...To protect myself.
Honestly, I had only one tiny problem with it...It wasn't made of silver. I figured silver would do the trick to hurt any real-life werewolf that came at me. I knew I didn't have a gun with silver bullets, wouldn't even know where to get silver bullets anyways, but I did look all over the house for any effective weapon that was silver. Sadly, I didn't find any good weapons that were made of that. So I decided to just wing-it and grab one of the fireplace pokers that were near the fireplace. I know the poker wasn't made of silver and it was made of bronze or something, but I needed a weapon, and it was better than nothing.
And very soon, here I was, wandering onward all alone somewhere in the woods. I gazed both left and right as I made more steps forward on the trail. After my last experience of walking in the woods at night, I was a little nervous. But I kept myself together and thought to myself as long as I didn't go off the trail like the last time I'm good. I just hoped things would be that way to the end. I looked up at the dark canopy, finding the moon through all the leaves and tree limbs. This night wasn't as too dark as the last though. The moon showed itself in the sky this time and it shined bright, kinda making some areas in the forest, depending on the canopy, show itself for me to see. I figured it'd come in handy if this flashlight died on me.
I looked straight ahead again, and as I trekked still, wondering if I was literally almost to the huge mansion, my mind was on Cat, her boyfriend and her family. I don't understand it...They were all so nice to me, just like a few people I already met in town. But then they turn into monsters...And try to kill anybody, especially me, who found out they exist. How could they do that? I can understand Elias, but them...
They all seemed so friendly and nice...
I guess it's like mom said to me before...People do lie about themselves, and you can't assume EVERYTHING about them. Not all people, but some.
I know Elias was there last night...But three other werewolves were also there, and that tells me that not all of his family was around when it happened. But who were they? Who else was there that tried to kill me? I huffed. I know I was looking for the truth, but a part of me hoped that Cat, Todd and the rest of the family weren't monsters, except Elias since he's the likely culprit, and the few other werewolves that were there were just some people I don't know. But another part shouted at me to quit being in denial and you are wrong and all of them are werewolves, including Cat.
Well, I think I was gonna find out either way.
I can finally see the mansion ahead through the trees thanks to the moonlight, so I quickly turned off my flashlight and put it away in my pocket, hoping nobody saw the light. When I got close to the edge of the woods, I ducked low, keeping myself as hidden as possible. As the crickets rang out in the woods still, I squinted hard so I could see if anybody was outside. But there was nobody out there.
That's when a second later I can barely see two people coming out of the double door entrance of the mansion. I silently breathed in and out as I saw them. Ah...Perfect timing. Who is coming out this late? As they moved further away from the huge house, apparently holding hands, I recognized them...Cat and Todd. Hmm...What are they up to? I can hear Cat's voice a little, as she tried to pull away from Todd with a nervous look on her face, "Todd...I don't think I should come outside yet."
Her boyfriend, wearing a tank top in a night like this, looked back at her and said to comfort her, "Hey, I know you're grounded till tomorrow, but don't worry. Your dad's gone with everyone else. He won't know that you left the house."
Cat looked down and said, "Well, if he doesn't hear what we are doing."
I heard Todd chuckling, "Heh heh...Good point." His hand made a shrug, "Look, you really shouldn't worry. Your dad would've wanted this to happen tonight. A night like this is a special one. You know that. Besides...I want to make you feel better after...Everything."
I heard the blonde headed girl let out a sigh, "Yeah...." I frowned curiously. What are they talking about? Last night? Or what happened with me and Elias earlier today? What?
Then I can hear Todd speaking to her hopefully, "Hey, let's not think about that now, ok? Let's make this night worthwhile. Everyone would want that...And I do most of all. Okay?" He tugged her hand, trying to make her go with him someplace, "Come on. Let's head for the clearing. We've been waiting for this for a while. We both know it's the perfect place for it."
I see that Cat was looking at him, and smiling a little in a bit of amusement, "That's because YOU always tell me."
Todd admitted with a giggle, "Yeah, you're right, I always tell you that. So...Let's make it true. Shall we?"
Shortly, Cat nodded, "Alright...I'll give it a try. Let's go." With that, she finally went along with him, and they both wandered to the woods. Not right towards me but in a different direction. I stood up straight as I still watched them leave. So, they're heading for a clearing, huh? Todd said he wanted to make her 'feel better'...Sounds to me like they're planning to make love outside or something. I made a confused frown. Kinda strange that they don't have a blanket to lay on. The grass can make you itch. Maybe they should do that in the house.
As they were closer to the line of trees, I had the urge to follow them. But I kinda stopped myself...Feeling that it was innappropriate. Then I countered that with another thought. Maybe you should follow. They don't seem to act like werewolves now, but..Just in case, you know? I nodded, and began to sneak through the woods to follow them.
Not too long, I found ourselves moving far away from the mansion. Even without the flashlight on, I can hear, and barely see, where they were going. It was apparent that we were not on or near a walking trail at all, but I didn't care about that now. I quietly stepped, trying not to make any loud noise that'll have them know I'm here. I was also thinking about Elias and the other family members while tailing them. So, he, along with Gary, Deena, Autumn and Albert are all gone? Wonder where they are exactly? In a tiny bit of worry, it made me think they are werewolves now and they were in the woods like the three of us.
If that's the case...I hope I don't run into them.
My face accidentally hit a low tree branch I didn't see, and I tried not to cry loudly from that. I ducked and went under it and went on to follow Cat and Todd some more. Basically I followed them for a little bit, maybe like about ten minutes, until I saw that we were near a wide, round clearing. The couple moved out of the trees, stepping out into the moonlight covering the clearing. While I myself moved through the wilderness in a quiet way, till I found a spot, that was a big, low boulder, near the edge of the clearing to spy on them from.
After strolling out of the woods for about several feet, they stopped and faced each other, holding each others hands. Todd smiled at her and Cat, well, she seemed to put on a nervous version of her own smile. As I hid behind the boulder and watched them, after a moment of silence, I can hear Todd say something to her from where I am, "You really are pretty beautiful...Under the moon...Did you know that?"
Cat nervously replied, "Uhhh...Can't say that I have. Have to bring a mirror with me when I'm outside to know that."
Todd giggled deeply, "Ah, there's no need...I'm telling you you are."
Cat just stared at him a little bit, then said fondly, "Thank you, Todd."
The tank top dude kissed her cheek sweetly, before he let her hands go and backed up a bit. He stated, "Well...Let's get this started. You ready?"
Cat nodded meekly, "As...Ready as I'll ever be. Uh...Todd?"
"Yeah?" His hands grabbed the bottom of the tank top and he started to pull it up over his body. My eyes went wide at the display, and my cheeks were turning red. I knew it! They're gonna make love out here!
She asked as he already had it over his head, "...Aren't you nervous about this? I admit I am."
Todd replied after he took it off and was now shirtless, showing off his hard-worked abs, "Sure. I may be a tough guy, but still." He threw his apparel away, putting on a big grin, "But, that doesn't stop me from completing what we were destined to do." That got me confused nearby. Destined? That's a weird way to go about it.
Cat remarked, "I guess...That's the same for me."
Then he said playfully when he took his belt off his waist, "Well, what are you waiting for?"
She chuckled a little bit, "Alright...I'm on it." That's when she too began to take off her clothes, her hands first pulling up her shirt over her head. My cheeks flushed furiously. Oh my god! She threw it down to the earth and immediately went for her bra, undoing her strap while Todd in front of her took his shoes off. I watched the girl I became friends with a few days ago throw down the bra to the ground next, seeing her breasts for the first time.
Wow...She looks... I shut my eyes and shook my head at myself for doing this. Matt, what are you doing?! Watching them getting ready to make out alone! What are you, some kind of pervert!? But I opened my eyes, and still spied on them taking off their clothes...Until they were both butt-naked. I couldn't believe what I was doing still. This was the first time I ever did anything like that. Felt a little bad about it too. Guess it was no wonder mom said stalking was illegal.
Todd and Cat looked at each other while they were both still naked, apparently not caring if the grass they're stepping on would make them itch. Then, a few moments later, I saw Todd making a weird look when he brought his face to the sky. His hands were held out to the sides, and shortly, he began to breath fast, hard, and loud. I formed a frown of confusion while I can hear him breathing like that from here. What's going on with him? That was when I saw Cat doing the same thing as him, only without holding her hands out to the sides and her eyes were shut.
I gasped lowly. Wait a second...
Then...I started to see them change, in a bit of a fast rate. For standing out in the open under the moon, it was easy for me to see all that. I can see that hair was growing on their skin. Like literally all over their bodies. They were getting taller too, with their ears changing from round to pointy, and their mouths forming out cainine looking snouts. They both snarled while both of their bottoms started growing out fluffy tails as well. Then, for not too long, their change was complete.
And that's when I realized...I was right about them. They were werewolves. My eyes were wide, my jaw slacked open in shock, and I breathed out in fear. Cat...
I can't believe it.
Cat and Todd, as werewolves, and their bodies now relaxed, stood and stared at each other with intent in their eyes. I was shaking my head in disbelief at the display. My god...It really is true. Then I remembered the camera hanging off my neck with a wide look. The camera! Now's my chance to get the proof! I better do it now before something bad happens! I immediately put down the fireplace poker and got the camera off my neck and turned it on. I mentally told it to turn on faster as it was going through a delay. Come on, come on! I shot my eyes back to the werewolves, seeing that they have slowly paced towards one another. When they were up close, they started to lick each others faces, being affectionate.
I looked down at my little device, finding that it was on. About fucking time! I held it up to my face, looking through the lens. I aimed for a shot, zooming in for a good one. Ah...There we go... As soon as I thought the angle and position was good, I pressed the button to take a picture of them.
But when I did, the camera made a flash.
And unforturnately...The monsters noticed it, bringing their eyes to where I hid.
I quickly ducked behind the boulder, and slapped my forehead for my mistake. Shit! I forgot about the flash! I made a frightened look, and when I heard one of them growling, I peeked over the boulder...And saw that they were coming to where I was. Uh oh...They're coming.
That's it, time to get the hell out of here!
Not taking anymore chances, since they were coming to where I was, I swung the camera strap around my neck, grabbed the poker, and got up and ran away as fast as I could. I quickly went through a bush, making a very loud noise. Thanks to the moonlight in the sky, I can barely see where I was going. I heard someone howling, being carried across the forest. I didn't like the sound of that. That could be bad.
I didn't look back to see they were after me, I kept going, breathing in and out hard with my heart pumping away in my chest. About a couple minutes later, I slowed myself down, and stopped to bent down on my knees and trying to catch my breath. I gazed back a sec to find they weren't behind me. Then I shortly raised my head, trying to figure out which way should I go. Where am I? Damn, I should've kept track of where I was going! Considering the circumstances, I can't go home now since it probably wasn't safe going back. The only thing I had to do now is get to town. But which way is town is the question.
As I was huffing for air still, I gazed downward and reached into my pocket for my cell phone. I think I should call Rachel or Andy, tell someone what I saw. If I don't make it, at least someone else will know of my discovery. I yanked it out, and started going through my contact list to find either of their numbers.
But, before I could do anything else with my phone, something grabbed my wrist and held it tight. I gasped sharply, dropping my phone. I shot up my eyes to see a werewolf had grabbed ahold of me.
I screamed, trying to pull back and escape. But the werewolf held on, squeezing my wrist so tight it began to hurt. Then it let out a howl, probably to call for the others. Afterward I started swinging the fireplace poker at it with one hand. I yelled at it over and over again, "LET GO! LET ME GO!" The swings I inflicted didn't seem to faze it at all, it still stood its ground and held a good grip with snarls. That's when I swung down my weapon right at its forearm as hard as I could, and the impact had it finally let me go.
I cried out, quickly backing away from the monster. It growled as it went to advance toward me. I turned around to run, but froze when I saw other werewolves were heading their way here. I didn't waste more time watching them come, and dashed off to a different direction. When I felt the werewolf that grabbed me a second ago try to do it again, I twisted myself and made a swing at its hand with my weapon. The monster yanked it back in time for it to dodge my weapon, and that gave me the opporturnity to try running for it again.
Sprinting through the woods with the poker in my hand, I never looked back, only ahead. Not too long later, something on the ground tripped and had me falling onto my stomach with a cry. But I wasn't gonna be on the ground long, I got on my hands and knees immediately and was about to push myself back on my feet. But before I could totally stand, suddenly a werewolf came out from behind a tree ahead of me, running at me. I saw it and sucked in a breath, but then my mind quickly came up with an idea. An idea I got from watching one of those werewolf movies, and from taking a photo of the two of them earlier.
I stood up, with a hand that wasn't holding the poker grabbing the camera still around my neck, and waited for the monster to come closer. When it was halfway to me, seemingly not expecting that, I raised the camera a little and pressed the button. The flash from the camera apparently blinded the werewolf, as it stopped and was trying to wipe away the blindness in its eyes with its arm. It worked! Taking this chance, I took off once more.
I ran hard for a little while after that, not looking back, past each bush and tree, and very soon I found myself back at the mansion. I dashed out of the forest and stopped on the yard with tired huffs and sweat rolling down my face. Arrrgh! That's the LAST place I want to be at right now! I glanced back, wondering if the werewolves were coming. I didn't see any, but I knew they'd be coming here soon. Then I brought it back onto the huge house. But I can't keep running like this forever. I'm out of breath, and town is still a little far. I need to hide somewhere. I jogged for the shed that was near the mansion. Maybe this might do.
I was close to the shed, and opened up the door to head inside. I shut it behind me, obscuring myself in total darkness. I remembered that I still had the flashlight in my pocket, and had it out and turned it on. I found that a lot of tools were stuck on walls and laid on a few shelves, and a push mower was settled on the floor. I breathed in and out quietly when I backed up to the very back of the shed. When I felt my back touch the wall, I turned the light off, and stood and waited around. I didn't hear anything as I was hiding in here. Only the sound of crickets. Other than that, it was purely quiet. Where are they? Are they out there somewhere? Shortly, I was starting to catch my breath. I wiped the sweat off my brow with my arm.
Before my limb would be brought down, something busted through the wall behind me, and I felt something grabbing me. I screamed, freaking out knowing that my hiding spot was now compromised, believing that one of the werewolves punched a hole in the wall and grabbed me through it. I tried to break free of its grip, but it was too strong. I turned the flashlight back on, trying to see in the dark and find the hand that's gotten ahold of me. I saw it plain as day, and began bashing its arm repeatedly with the poker. I managed to get free, running away from the wall and making way through the shed while shoving my flashlight back into my pocket. As I came back outside, I found about six werewolves were waiting for me outside the shed door.
I screamed out in terror once more, then went to run away again. I heard one werewolf snarling in anger as I darted for the mansion entrance, thinking of running in there now since there wasn't any other shelter nearby. It didn't take me long to make it to the double doors and grab one of the knobs. I pulled one door open real quick, went in stepping inside the foyer, and tried to shut the door in the same motion. But I didn't shut it in time when one of them shouldered through it. I yelped, falling on my butt and frantically backing away on the floor, seeing the pack of seven werewolves piling through the entrance as they were after me still.
I pushed myself up off the floor, and swung the fireplace poker at the closest one. I tried hitting it in the head, but the werewolf caught the bludgeoning weapon with its hand. It tried to pull it out of my hand, but I held on real tight for it with both. It managed to yank it away though despite that, and threw it away. The poker struck against the wall and hit the floor with a clang. I yelled at all of them, "STAY AWAY!!!"
I whirled around and tried to run, but before I could get far the werewolf that threw the poker away grabbed the back of my shirt, stopping me in my tracks. I hollered, punching that thing's arm with my fists since I don't have any weapons now, "Let go! LET GO OF ME!" Then I thought of using the same tactic I used back in the woods, trying to use the camera to blind it. But before I could grab it and snap another photo of one of them, the other werewolves came to help out, grabbing me and stopping me from struggling. I bellowed as they all got me, "NOOOOO!"
Then one of them shot its furry hand out and clasped around my neck, choking me with its tight grip. I groaned as I was lifted off the floor. The werewolf who has me carried me away from the rest of the pack as they stood and watched, out to where it was just me and it. I was putting effort to try prying its hand off, but it was no use. I even kicked it, but even I knew that wouldn't help me out at all.
I was at its mercy.
Gasping for air, I was waiting for the consequences that would happen to me. I looked right at the werewolf's face, seeing it only had one eye. In its eye...It held rage. It watched me with snarling teeth while I was still trying to gasp for a breath. I managed to sputter out a couple pleading words, deeply hoping they wouldn't be in vain, "Pl-...Pl-...Ack...Please....Don't..."
Possibly due to the circulation in my neck being cut off, I was growing weaker, shortly being limp while held above the floor.
Then...My vision went dark.
