\n Well here's Ch 6. of Shadow of a Freelancer...here you get to see Rrahkarr's (Shadow's) other side in control as he tries to gain control of Rrahkarr's body. Some other events are going on as well as a small recap of what happened to Rrahkarr's parents.

\n Shadow was staring at Maya; who had come up to see if things were ok. He stared at her with feral eyes. He looked down at the man who was barely alive and put his foot on his throat and crushed it, killing him and looked back up at Maya.

\n He then stepped over the body of the Outcast and slowly made his way over to Maya. Half way to her he stopped and had a small mental battle.

\n Rrahkarr was fighting with his other self; who came to be known as Severo (Sever-o), to regain control of his body. Of the two of them Severo was; at the moment, stronger; as was Rrahkarr when he's in control. However Rrahkarr wasn't going to let him have his way. Severo had been trying to gain complete control for three years now, and he knew a possible way to do it.

\n Severo was going to make Rrahkarr watch as he killed the rest of his family; with his own two hands no less. If he saw himself killing his family, Rrahkarr would lose his will to fight Severo off and thus Severo would win and be in full control.

\n If Maya could hear him, Rrahkarr would have yelled for her to run away. Instead he hoped that she would run on her own instead of just stand their. He was trying to buy her some time to get away but he couldn't hold Severo off anymore and he regained control.

\n She was gripped with fear and paralyzed by it. She couldn't move as her blood covered brother approached her with a murderous intention. He had stopped suddenly and grabbed at his head for a few moments and started snarling and growling but then continued to walk towards her with a devilish grin.

\n As he drew near she could smell the blood on him and could see the evil in his glowing eyes. She was shaking when he stepped up to her and looked down into her eyes with an emotionless face. His smile came back and he grabbed her by her throat and lifted her three feet off the ground.

\n When she was in the air she regained control of her limbs and she grabbed at his paw that was around her neck and tried to free herself. Every time she tired his grip only increased and soon she was gasping for air. She tired to kick him but it had no effect and only made him laugh.

\n She began to cry as tears flowed down her cheek fur, her vision was fading as she looked over the destroyed property. Craters marred the land where shots had been fired and hit, the family gravestones where demolished, fires had started in some places and smoke started to rise from them, and there were remains of bodies of several people laying all around her on the blood soaked ground.

\n Her vision was almost completely gone when she noticed something moving at an impossible speed towards them. It looked like a person, but was moving too fast to be one. When it got closer she could see it was another human wearing armor similar to those who were dead around her only it looked newer. The person yelled out something as her brother turned to look when the human jumped as high as he could and in mid air spun around bringing the bottom of his boot into the side of his head.

\n Severo was about to crush Maya's throat when someone yelled "RRAHKARR!"

\n When he turned to see who it was he was kicked in the face so hard both he and Maya went flying through the air. Maya slipped from his grasp as they flew through the air and she ended up on the ground near whoever attacked Severo.

\n Severo on the other hand spun in the air several times before he hit the ground several feet away from where he was standing. The person who had kicked him quickly ran over to him and picked him up off the ground by his throat and held him in the air.

\n He was hit so hard he couldn't concentrate and lost control to Rrahkarr who finally regained control of his body...but now his head hurt severely and he could hardly breathe. He saw what had happened and looked down into the face of who had attacked him.

\n There stood Delta holding Rrahkarr up just as Severo did with Maya. Delta noticed the glow in his eyes fade away as he held him there. When the glow was completely gone Delta sat Rrahkarr back down on to his feet; but when he wasn't supported anymore he fell to the ground unable to move.

\n "Rrahkarr!" Delta said once Rrahkarr hit the ground.

\n "I'm fine...check...M-Maya." Rrahkarr said as he laid his head down to rest.

\n Delta went over to Maya and checked her to see if she was ok. She was breathing but she was unconscious. Her neck was bruised but otherwise she would be fine.

\n Suddenly a voice yelled out "Maya!" causing Delta to quickly spin on his heel and face whoever yelled her name.

\n It was Ada, with David not far behind her. Ada ran to Maya and kneeled down and started asking Murazar what had happened and who he was; she knew him but the last time she saw him was twelve years ago and she couldn't remember him.

\n David stopped at the entrance to the shelter when he saw the blood soaked ground and bodies laying in front of it he looked over to Rrahkarr who was also lying on his back and ran over to him.

\n "What happened to Maya?!" Ada yelled at Delta.

\n "First off, I think we should get them inside Ada." Delta said to her surprise.

\n "How do you know my name?" she asked as she looked him over...which frustrated him.

\n When David was closer to them Delta looked over to him, David acknowledged him by saying "Delta" before he knelt down next to Rrahkarr.

\n "Delta...is that you?!" Ada asked surprised.

\n "Yes it is now shall we take them inside? With all the commotion that has just taken place here I believe the authorities will be arriving shortly...and if you didn't know if they find Rrahkarr they'll arrest him." He said.

\n She was surprised at the last part he said but nodded her head and started to pick up Maya as Delta and David picked up the blood covered Rrahkarr. They could here sirens of the authorities as they neared the manor. They entered the shelter quickly and Delta managed to find out why the emergency close button didn't work; one of the wires was disconnected when Rrahkarr, Ada, David and Maya all fell down the stairs.

\n He reattached it and the entrance closed up once more before the authorities arrived.

\n He was standing in front of a mirror it seemed. He was looking at himself, noticing all the details of himself. His black fur and hair...his blue eyes, the countless scars, the features of his face; the way his muzzle was shaped, the puffs of fur on his cheeks, the white scar above his left eye, and how far apart his eyes were.

\n He then looked at his fur and scar covered body. Scars from multiple gunshot injuries; from Phase, Plasma, and even solid and energy round weapons, the muscles under his fur on his chest and stomach, the muscles on his arms and plantigrade legs.

\n He looked back up and noticed that his image in the mirror was smiling with an evil look on his face and his eyes where glowing.

\n "You got lucky this time Rrahkarr. Bet she stays away from you from now on?" Severo said in his sly and domineering voice.

\n Rrahkarr got angry and tired to punch Severo; he landed a direct hit on the side of his muzzle but in return he felt it too.

\n "Have you forgotten? Both of us are one in the same...what happens to one of us...happens to the other." Severo explained.

\n "No...I haven't forgotten I just felt like hitting you." Rrahkarr answered back.

\n "Of course you did...pathetic fool." He said and shook his head.

\n "Shut the fuck up!" Rrahkarr said to him.

\n "Oh how uncivilized you are Rrahkarr." Severo said.

\n "Me uncivilized?! Ha look at yourself...you're a feral monstrosity!"

\n "Oh I'll show you who's the real monstrosity here." Severo said and disappeared.

\n Then the image of the transport appeared followed by all the people that Rrahkarr has killed while pursuing his goal. All the innocents, his targets, women and children, and even those he pushed aside like his sister and even Sara.

\n From there Severo tortured him with his past and made him relive every single thing that hurt Rrahkarr the most.

\n ****************

\n Four hours had passed since Delta closed the entrance to this shelter. Maya was resting in one of the rooms while Rrahkarr was locked in another. Delta told them of what happened and they didn't or rather couldn't believe his story, they couldn't fathom Rrahkarr trying to kill Maya.

\n Delta explained to them that Rrahkarr developed a split personality the day Lliam died. Rrahkarr showed a lot of what the other personality was, rage, hate and fury in himself most of the time. Only during certain situations he would be like his old self but even then he still had a bit of brutality in him.

\n He told them that it wasn't Rrahkarr who had tried to kill Maya but his other personality, he explained that sometimes he losses control of himself and his other personality takes control.

\n "Other than what I've told you I don't know anything about his other side." Delta said.

\n "So that's why he said he changed." David said.

\n "Yes." Delta said as he took a seat in one of the empty chairs in the room they were in.

\n "Is it possible that he'll return to normal?" Ada asked.

\n "That I don't know." Delta said to her.

\n They all heard groaning coming from the back rooms and David got up "I'll go and check her." He said as he walked out of the room.

\n "Is there a television?" Delta asked as he got up and looked around.

\n David just opened the door to the room Maya was in and peeked in, he saw her sitting up in the bed obviously confused and disorientated. She saw him at the door and he entered.

\n "What happened...why...why does my throat hurt?" She asked as she rubbed the sides of her throat.

\n "I'm not going to lie to you...Rrahkarr...he went...he tried to kill you." David said as he tried to think of what more to say.

\n "That...that wasn't Rrahkarr." She said.

\n "What do you mean?" David asked; wanting to know why she thought that.

\n "Rrahkarr would never do that to me...it may have looked like him but it wasn't him, I-I don't know how to explain it." Maya said as she put her hands on her shoulders and looked away.

\n "Well you're right." David told her.

\n "I am?"

\n "It seems Rrahkarr has a split personality. It wasn't him that tired to kill you...it was this other...personality." David said.

\n Maya looked relieved when he told her that and she let out a deep breath and seemed to settle down a little bit.

\n "Can I see him?" She asked.

\n David was about to answer her when Delta said from the doorway "I think you better come here."

\n Moment later both David and Maya appeared in the main room with Ada and Delta. Maya was looking at Murazar while David walked up next to him and asked "What's the matter?"

\n "Look at the TV." Delta said and David did as he told and noticed their home with police, firefighters and medics along with reporters and the such on the news channel.

\n ****************

\n "We are standing in front of the old Sutarra Manor here in Noble Oklahoma at the scene of a terrible tragedy. As you can see behind me the Manor it self is in flames and also there are several bodies that have yet to be identified." A female puma news reporter said as the others gasped (except Murazar) at what they saw.

\n The home that they have lived in now for three years was being reduced to a large pile of ashes, the fire fighters where trying their best to put out the flames but they weren't making much progress. The only thing that was left of their family was being burned down, and Maya was starting to cry.

\n "Weapons were found near the bodies and have been linked to the death of the several bodies and the fires that are destroying the Manor. This is the second incident that has taken place on these grounds, and like before the authorities are worried about the occupants. They have not been located in or near the residence." The reporter said.

\n Everyone got a shock when they heard yelling and howling coming from the back room. Both Ada and Maya ran back to the room that Rrahkarr was locked in to see what was happening as Murazar and David continued to watch the news report, that was taking place right above them.

\n "I know that the residents of Noble all remember what happened here thirteen years ago, when the four eldest members of the Sutarra family were killed leaving three young children alone. For new members of the township I'll elaborate.

\n "Thirteen years ago Justin Sutarra, his mate Tanya, and his parents John and Kathleen Sutarra where all brutally murdered in their own home. Justin and Tanya had three children, two boys and a newborn girl. The parents and grandparents were murdered while the two boys were outside playing. Rrahkarr and William Sutarra returned home to find their family murdered, they managed to save their little sister from the murderers and 15 year old Rrahkarr managed to kill two of them with a gun he took off one of them.

\n Three years ago young William was killed in the service of the military, Rrahkarr who was also in the military at the time went AWOL and hasn't been found, and young Maya was living here with their foster parents David and Ada Telge; all of which haven't been found..." the reporter went on.

\n "I can't believe this. I guess we'll have to leave six months early." David said.

\n "Where were you going in six months?" Delta asked.

\n "Ada, Maya and I were going to be colonists headed for ACX-004 recently renamed Falora." David said.

\n "I see, well with no home here anymore it'd probably be better if you did go now." Delta said to him.

\n "Do you think so Delta?" David asked.

\n "I do."

\n *******************

\n Ada and Maya looked through the small window on the door to where Rrahkarr was. When they saw him it looked like he was in extreme pain. He still had blood all over him but it was dry, he may have had a concussion from when Murazar hit him but they couldn't tell.

\n He seemed to calm down so they headed back to David and Delta. When they arrived into the room Delta excused himself and walked to the back where they had just come from. David walked up to Ada and started to talk to her and Maya about the possibility of leaving Earth today or perhaps tomorrow.

\n Murazar came back out and said "Have you made up your mind...with all that's happened if you leave it might seem like you three died in the fire. You wouldn't have to worry about anyone following you...considering what happened with Rrahkarr and those others..." Delta said.

\n "You're not giving us much time to think about it Delta." Ada said.

\n "What's there to think about...your homes gone and everyone will think your dead." Delta said harshly.

\n "We've been planning on this for years...what's half a year earlier going to hurt?" David said.

\n "So that's a yes?" Delta asked.

\n "I suppose." Ada said.

\n "Good...then I'll have Nerah beam us all up onto Rrahkarr's ship the Ira and from there we'll beam you to the station tomorrow after we get you some supplies." Delta said and pushed a button and said "Nerah I have three here who need to be beamed up."

\n "But Delta...I was told by Shadow not to beam anyone up without his approval." Nerah said.

\n "Trust me...I think he'd let you...that and he's not in the right state of mind at the moment." He said.

\n "I understand." She said and suddenly the three of them were beamed up onto the Ira.

\n Delta walked back into the room where Rrahkarr was, he looked at him and then pushed the button again and said "Nerah...beam both me and Rrahkarr onboard now."
