Hi there! The name's Matthew Fawkes and I'm just your friendly
internet writerfox! Welcome to my corner of the web! If you would

What made you
interested in Furry? What made you interested in writing?
I can't really say
specifically but when my father came home to surprise me with a copy
of Star Fox 64, it awoken something in me. I was playing Sonic the
Hedgehog before (another game my dad introduced me to) but it was
Star Fox that threw me for a loop. It wasn't just the furry
characters; it was the world building, the starships, the epic
storyline. Star Fox didn't just make me a furry, it made me
interested in outer space! A little while later, I then started
writing my own story combining my favorite things, mainly Sonic the
Hedgehog and Star Fox. I called it “The Adventures of Sonic H.
McCloud". It was my first fanfiction but I didn't write it in
normal novel-writing style, I wrote it in script form. This surprised
my parents and made me excited to keep writing! Ever since then, I have been a lover and firm supporter of furry
media and fanworks.
What do you use to
write?
Aside from a regular
pen and paper, I usually use The Document Foundation's LibreOffice
and Literature and Latte's Scrivener. I always wholeheartedly
recommend using FOS (Free and Open Source) software and/or software
with a lifetime license. Office Suite software, especially word
processors, should never be subscription-based. Everyone deserves
access to software that is mandatory for their daily tasks and
creative output.
Do you take commissions? Do you accept trades?
I do take
commissions but I'm not taking any at the moment since I do have
enough faith in my writing ability just yet. I do not know how
trading works but will learn more about it in the future!
Anything specific
about yourself that you want to tell us?
I have been
diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's Disease in 2021. It puts a
damper on myself both physically and mentally. As such, it takes me
much longer to focus on my creativity than it normally should so bare
that in mind.
