Well, I am suffering from writer’s block, or a special case of writer’s block. :p So, well, while you all are waiting for another chapter or a new story to pop up, here is something short I decided to write. Enjoy!
Sometimes the sun won’t shine.
The moment was too coincidental. It seemed like the whole thing was planned. Things like this are not supposed to happen just like that, right? Not after what happened to him. He should know… or maybe he doesn’t. She just came at the right time. Was this a dream? Is this a dream?
Sometimes it would.
The wolf smiled as she took her seat. This has to be a dream all right. No sweet wolf like her would just appear. Not after what he done. Not after what he had done to his family. Both yellow eyes locked onto each other. They know that this is real.
Sometimes it would rain.
The male cleared his throat before he put his paw on hers. He felt so fragile, after he just up and left his family, only with one note and a photo of him and his best friend. In that photo, it shown them laughing, an arm wrapped around each other; a wolf and a girl were never more happy just to be together.
Sometimes it won’t.
The female just returned a quizzical look. She might be thinking why he stopped the talking so suddenly. He hoped that this thing of beauty knows what she does to him. Such a free spirited soul filled with insecurities…
Other times, the days would crawl.
“Well… I’ve been wondering…” the bigger wolf said slowly, looking out the window. Outside, rain was pitter-pattering relentlessly on the pedestrians. It shown no mercy, meaning no harm. Rain is such a beautiful miracle.
Other times, the days would pass seamlessly.
“And that’s?” the smaller wolf said in her playful tone. The fact that she didn’t know he liked her was a mystery. After all, he was the one who sent her those roses and daffodils. He took her out to dinner once.
Just remember that there’s always a king in the back.
A small chuckle left the male. Life just seems so funny at times. Like now. A rainy night. A beautiful women. Dinner.
Just like the movies. A happy ending, right?
After all, the dog days are over.
“What’s so funny Theo?” the other wolf asked, looking down at her clothes, which was basically a blue jacket and blue jeans. Fashion doesn’t matter to this pretty young lady. Funny, right?
And…
Theo smiled and looked back at her. For someone who looked so normal, she was a beautiful landscape of bright colors, dark shades and blue skies. A beautiful person if she allowed you to get past her playful pokes and eccentricity.
I just want you know that…
“Nothing.” His eyes lowered to the table in front of him. There was a glass countertop on top of a wooden table.
‘Must be for style.’ Theo thought, reading the fun facts on the paper between the glass and wood.
His eyes went back up, to stare at his friend. She was looking around the restaurant. Furs, scalies, avians alike were in here. A fancy restaurant this place was.
“I just wanted to know if you were free this Friday. You know, have dinner and all that?”
I love you.
“Yes. I’d love that.” Her eyes were on him again, probably looking at his long bangs. Or his ears.
“Great.” Theo said, smiling while saying so.
“Is it going to be like a date?” she asked, still wet due to the fact that they just entered the restaurant.
“Isn’t that what I was asking?” was the answer to her question.
A waiter, which was a snake, came by and gave them menus.
I don’t mean to hurt you.
“Well, I won’t mind still. Any special ideas for the date?”
“I don’t like ruining surprises.” He grabbed a menu, looking at the delicacies that the Chinese restaurant offered. “You should know that by now Alice.”
I love you too much to do such a thing.
Both wolves fell back to silence again. They didn’t mind though. They both found their significant other. A free spirit and a shy dreamer. Life’s a funny thing, isn’t it?
I hope you enjoyed this short piece. I was listening to ‘Making Mirrors’ by Gotye. :p I hope these short stories would help get me back into my writing. Erm, typing. Or creating stories. >< That’s enough from me. Bye.
