Where can Kyruku be found?
Kyruku are very scientifically driven, and as such, many times, their career choices and backgrounds will come as a result of their upbringing in their home ‘Facilities’, deep underground complexes that house millions and millions of their species all across the galaxy. The original Kyruku facilities were constructed upon Keyross, a large, earth-like planet in the vicinity of Alpha Centauri. This is where the species evolved from it’s infancy and from its quadruped counterparts, and first took to the stars from.
Kyruku however, can be found on all corners of the globe, and speaking all languages, and following just about every custom there is or ever will be. Kyruku often live very free lives, and settle, migrate, and live where they will, be it on the surface with the local populations or deep underground in the super-facilities that define their species. These facilities are always kept well hidden, and on all but the largest military facilities, surface access is usually well hidden, be it through the use of illusions, natural obstacles, or simply by hiding the ‘Top hatch’ elevator access in a disguised house or business that acts as a front.
Signals to access these hidden hives can be as elaborate as having to contact the facility staff themselves and submitting to security scans, to as simple as a well hidden button that may be simply marked with a single, vague Kyruku character scratched into a wall or tree trunk. Kyruku value their secrecy as a species, and thus, the locations are only told to those of the species, or those who have shown they can be trusted with such information, and only ever on a need to know basis. Few members of the species can say they know the true locations of every hidden facility on the planet.
Kyruku also keep several ‘Bolt holes’ scattered across the world, and numbering in hundreds of thousands of locations. These are often much, much scaled down versions of the facilities, designed to house no more than a few hundred at most, to a mere handful of people at any given time. The purpose of these buildings is often to act as supplementary housing for larger facilities, and often as hiding places for Kyruku operatives to lay low or act as small scale field bases. Depending on one’s wealth and status, some of these also act as private homes away from the mainstay of the species.
But in conclusion, Kyruku can be found everywhere. They have been on earth since before the crusades, and will remain there until the sun takes its dying breath and engulfs the solar system in its supernova embrace.
