Uninvited But Welcome
Compared to other illustrations, I half-assed this one. Then again, I did put consideration into Lady Death's suit. So, I guess it's the background. She can't afford to take chances. That's why she wears the armour. I knew I wanted to illustrate the first section of the chapter. The couch is just there to make the picture look less empty.
I wanted to be a little thorough with the detail as well as precise. I drew only the figure with a pencil, most of which I erased. I used only a little ink of three different pens. I coloured with pencil crayons, one watercolour pencil, and markers. I drank tea and ate an apple and a few Skittles. I listened to Disturbed: Immortalized. On this picture, I spent (maybe) 83 minutes, start-to-finish.
