Watch Your Tongue!
My first time drawing a badger. To be exact, Lieven is a Eurasian Badger. It's sort of a fantasy world, but I was late to cheat the reality about him. I considered giving him a red pelt at the start, but I went with it having red licks instead. I wanted him to look like he's growling as he has a hot temper like his boss, but his open mouth doesn't look right. The narration mentions that he has a scar below his left eye, but I couldn't make it stand out. I also forgot that I write him having a raised collar; I was too late to correct that, and I didn't want to start over. To me, the highlight is his suit.
This was drawn on a 9x12 page. Only the figure was drawn with a pencil, most of which was erased in the colouring process. Inked with a pen and a fountain pen. Coloured with pencil crayons, watercolour pencils, markers, and a wet brush. I was listening to Epica: The Holographic Principle, drinking French vanilla coffee, and eating a sandwich and cookies. I made this final on the afternoon of Sept. 5, 2020. On this, I spent 76 minutes, start-to-finish.
